Since Jungkook didn't even know he was a father until Asami was born, he was never able to experience the scans and the actual birth of his child, so both Taehyung and Jungkook were equally as excited to be going into this new experience together. With Asami finally recovered from her cold and thankfully excited about having yet another Saturday spent at Jin and Namjoon's house, the couple could actually focus on their second child for the time being.

They arrive at the hospital for the scan even before Jennie arrived, their eagerness to see their child for the first time showing fully as they sit hand in hand in the waiting room unable to contain their smiles.

"I'm guessing you two are excited?" Jennie laughs as she finally arrives, happy to see the couple were already there.

"We're more than excited! Seeing our baby for the first time and hearing their little heartbeat, there's nothing more amazing than that." Taehyung says, bouncing in his chair like a little kid, Jungkook laughing at his cuteness from his side as he slightly squeezes his hand.

"Have you developed any new weird cravings?" Jungkook asks, deciding to take interest in their surrogate.

"I dipped a slice of toast in ice cream this morning, but then again I've done that before when I've been drunk so I can't really blame the baby." Jennie laughs.

"That's nothing, once when I was drunk at a college party I ate a chunk out of a bar of soap. I was sick straight after, it wasn't my finest moment." Taehyung reveals, the other two grimacing just thinking about it. "Don't make that face at me! I bet you did some bad things whilst you were a drunk teenager." The elder points an accusing finger at his fiancé only to be met with a blank expression.

"No actually, I didn't have much time to be a crazy drunken teenager before I became a dad."

Taehyung gives an apologetic look, of course, Jungkook wouldn't have had time for wild college parties and sleepless drunken nights when he had a baby to look after. "Well, Asami is definitely something to be more proud of, college parties were always disgusting anyway."

The conversation gets cut there as they're called into the scan room, both Jungkook and Taehyung smiling widely once they stand up. Jennie smiles fondly at them, seeing them so excited for every aspect of the pregnancy although they aren't able to experience it as much as she is able to, warms her heart fully. The fact she's giving two amazing people this gift is enough to make her feel honoured.

Jungkook back hugs Taehyung as they wait for the scan to begin, holding him tight to his own body as they prepare to see their second child for the very first time. It's hard to see anything at first, but when the doctor begins pointing little features out then they finally start to see their baby more clear.

"Kookie, look at our baby's tiny little head!" Taehyung gasps.

Jungkook just laughs, the whole experience filling every inch of his body with pure joy. They both didn't think the moment could get any better, that was until the soft beating of the babies heart started to sound within the room. The doctor tells them that the child has a strong heartbeat which eases some of their worries, a lot could go wrong during early pregnancies so hearing that their baby was healthy was enough to take at least some of the edge off. At that moment, in each other's embrace, as they look at their second child on the monitor and listen to the calming sound of the heartbeat, they knew that life was truly perfect.

The excitement didn't stop after they left the hospital, it only grew once they picked Asami up from her day at Jin and Namjoon's. Asami had instantly squealed and begged to see the pictures of her new sibling, hugging the pictures close to her chest once they were finally handed over to her. She hugged them the whole way home as if they were the actual baby, the sight melting the couple's hearts completely. They ordered pizza for dinner as they watched the Toy Story movies and cuddled together on the sofa, making the most of spending the Saturday night as a family.

When Asami began to doze off, Jungkook carried her up to bed followed by a sleepy Taehyung. They both tucked the little girl into bed and kissed her before wishing her sweet dreams and leaving the room, they couldn't help but look at her in awe as she mumbles out a soft 'I love you daddys' in her half-asleep daze before the door fully closed. The couple decides to head to bed themselves not long after, both of them exhausted from the overwhelmingly happy day they had experienced.

"We should start thinking of names," Jungkook voices out as he softly draws patterns on Taehyung's back, the elder comfortably laying with his head on his chest.

"I like Areum for a girl, It fits with Asami's name well." Taehyung smiles against the younger's warm skin.

"Areum is pretty, that's definitely number one on the girl list for now."

"I have no idea about boy names though, I don't think there's any that stand out for me."

"How about Jungkook junior?" Jungkook smirks.

"We are not naming our child something that sounds like a name for your penis." Taehyung huffs, but he can't help but smile when Jungkook chuckles at the remark. "We'll have to buy a baby name book or something, we need the perfect name."

Jungkook nods in agreement, "we have time to work it out, it'll be perfect for sure."

"Since you call Asami 'pancake', will you call our new baby 'waffle'?" Taehyung mumbles after a moment of silence.

The younger couldn't help but let out another laugh at the statement, the serious tone in Taehyung's voice only making it funnier to him. "I definitely will not be calling them 'waffle'," he answers through his chuckles.

"Where did the nickname 'pancake' even come from? Is it just because she loves them?"

"Not originally, but it's great it worked out being one of her favourite foods. Pancakes were actually the first solid food I ever fed to her, my mom told me to give her a piece of fruit that we were eating with them but I thought she'd like a chunk of my pancake instead." Jungkook laughs, fondly remembering the moment. "She looked so cute chewing on it, she only had a few teeth so it was like a mission for her to eat even the smallest piece. But once she fully tasted it her eyes completely sparkled, I swear it was one of the prettiest things I've ever seen. The nickname just stuck after that, she used to giggle every time I called her it so I just continued and now it's just force of habit. I'll probably still be calling her it when she's an adult."

Taehyung smiles as he listens to the memory, although he was a little sad that he wasn't able to experience the moment for himself. He can't help but imagine all the amazing memories they'll create with the new baby, how cute Asami will be when she sees her little brother or sister for the first time, he lets out a happy giggle at the thought of it.

"What are you giggling about?" Jungkook smiles down at him, warmth spreading across his chest from the adorable sound.

"I'm just so happy. We get to raise a little person together, we'll be able to make so many sweet memories just like the ones you have of Asami."

"I'm happy too, baby." Jungkook places a soft kiss on the top of the elders head, both of them slipping into a comfortable silence as they just enjoy their moment of happiness.

Taehyung couldn't believe his luck, just a couple of years ago he was crying every night as he remembered how his parents disowned him for being gay, how they screamed at him and told him he was disgusting and would never be able to have a proper family of his own. But now here he was, cuddled up with the man he swears is his soulmate, a beautiful daughter that brings so much light into his life and another child on the way who he's certain will do the same. It's funny how things can change so quickly, and Taehyung couldn't be more thrilled that his parents were wrong about him. Placing a gentle kiss on his fiancé's chest, he slips off into a peaceful sleep with nothing but love in his heart.
