The day Taehyung had been dreading had finally arrived, the day Jungkook had to go back to work. When he heard the alarm going off in the morning he's grip on his husband tightened, not prepared to let him go and start getting ready to leave. It was still a week before school restarted so Taehyung would have two children to worry about all by himself, the thought only making him more reluctant to let go of Jungkook as he tries to wiggle of his grip.

"Baby I don't want to leave either, but if I don't get up now I'm going to be late." Jungkook laughs, his voice still groggy with sleep.

"Can't you just take a little more time off? I'm not ready to be alone." Taehyung mumbles into the fabric of Jungkook's shirt, still not seeming like he's was going to let go anytime soon.

"They'll fire me if I beg for more time off, you know that."

"Let them fire you, stay here with me."

"Then we'll have no money to keep the house and feed the kids." Jungkook reminds the other, and with a deep groan and a second longer of being captured, Taehyung's grip loosens and he's finally able to get out of bed.

Jungkook leans over Taehyung to place a kiss onto his forehead, hoping that it will convince the frown to leave his face. Unsurprisingly it works, Taehyung's face finally going back to normal at the soft action as he sighs and pulls the covers around him tighter.

"I can call you though, right? I think I'm okay with the whole 'taking care of a tiny human' thing now, but if I have any questions you'll answer the phone... yeah?"

"Sure, baby. I won't have any appointments today just a ton of paperwork to catch up on, so phone me whenever you need to and I'll answer."

"Promise?" Taehyung peeks his head over the covers to ask.

"In the words of our daughter, I super duper uper pooper promise." Jungkook turns around to grin widely at the elder whilst buttoning up his shirt.

Taehyung hums before covering his face again even though he knows he should stop being lazy and get out of bed as well, the kids weren't going to take care of themselves after all. He stretches his limbs out under the covers, sighing deeply when he feels his body become looser before sitting up.

"Should I make pancakes for breakfast? It might make Asami less annoyed about me having to leave."

"I think she still won't let you go easily," Taehyung laughs. "But yeah, make pancakes to distract her."

"On it," Jungkook says determinedly before leaving the room, making Taehyung shake his head at him still laughing.

Taking a deep breath to gain some motivation, Taehyung finally leaves the comfort of his bed to go and wake up Asami. With Minjun now only waking up once or twice through the night both of the men have grown more attached to their bed, cherishing every single minute they're able to sleep in it as if it was a complete blessing, so leaving it was always more painful than ever before.

He smiles as he enters Asami's room, seeing her curled up into a ball hugging her plush unicorn to her chest tightly truly was one of the cutest sights for him. He almost feels bad as he crouches down and lightly shakes her, the little girl whining as she curls into herself more. The noise makes him laugh, sympathising with the thought of not wanting to awaken.

"Princess, it's time to wake up." Taehyung says softly as he attempts to clear Asami's face of all the hair covering it.

"M'too tired, daddy."

"Daddy's making pancakes for breakfast, don't you want to go and help him?"

Asami's eyes quickly open at the mention of pancakes, setting her unicorn to the side as she quickly scrambles to get out of bed only to tangle herself more in the sheets. Taehyung laughs at her, helping the little girl untangle herself before watching her bound over to the door excitedly.
