Skye

The tests are rapidly approaching so Draco and I have to study even more (like actually study). We're in the great hall having breakfast and while we're looking over the potions homework an owl brings me a letter, it says it's from Diagon Alley 93. I don't recognize who it could be from so I open it: Hey Skye! I know we're not really on speaking terms but I needed to tell you something. Ron's been bugging me because Harry's been bugging him about you leaving Dumledore's Army so I don't know why me saying it would change anything but please consider rejoining.  P.S Ginny told me that you needed some veritaserum so I attached that to the owl too hope you can use it well. -George After I finish reading the letter my emotions are all over the place: I'm happy that Georgie wrote to me but also sad because I shouldn't interact with him for the sake of his safety. I take the potion off the owl's leg when Draco asks "Who's it from?" he looks at me. "Umm George" I tell him. "Why would he send you a package?" Dray asks in confusion and a hint of jealousy. "He sent veritaserum you should be thankful" I end the argument before it even starts. "Whatever..." he says annoyed. "Umbridge's gonna take over school soon" Draco changes the subject. "Great, that'll be fun" I respond sarcastically. "She's from the Ministry she'll be better than that old man who's supposed to be the greatest wizard." He says with disgust. "You can't actually think that" I look at him puzzled. "She wants to make school a better environment for us and she's also pretty sure that there's a secret army that Dumbledore has and she wants the Inquisitorial squad to find and eliminate it before he uses it against You-Know-Who or the Ministry" he explains. "Even if there was an army, they're only kids do you really think they could defeat Him or the Ministry?" I try to make him see things differently so he'll change sides. "They have annoying Potter and Dumledore I'm sure they can achieve something" he says dismally and stubbornly. "We should get to potions" I respond because I don't want to fight with him. "You go, I'll be there shortly." he says and kisses me goodbye.

I have to find Harry and tell him about Umbridge's intentions maybe they can figure something out to not get caught. I go down to the potions classrom hoping Harry would be there already. I'm relieved when I see Harry sitting next to Ron. I go up to them "Hey Harry do you have a minute?" I ask him in a hurry. "Yeah sure" he gets up quickly and we go out of the classroom to a more secluded place. "It's about D.A. Draco thinks that Umbridge will sooon take over school and she knows about the "army" although she's wrong about why it was founded but still..." I whisper to him because even the walls have ears. "Are you thinking about rejoining?" he asks. "What? That is not why I told you this! I just... don't want you guys to get hurt" I responds softly. "George got to you I see" he giggles and I slightly blush. "Harry are you listening to me? Who knows what will happen when Umbridge founds out about D.A and what if she really takes over school?" I ask angrily. "Don't worry Skye, I'll keep them safe and you could help me..." he offers as a last resort to get me back on his team. I open my mouth to respond but I hear Draco's voice and can see him coming down the stairs. "We'll talk later!" I say hastily to Harry and run back to the classroom. "Hi babe!" I kiss Dray when he walks in. "Were you talking to Potter?" he looks at me confused. "Omm what are you talking about? I didn't." I tell him to protect everyone who's a part of D.A. because if he found out what I knew he'd probably snitch on them. "Let's go sit down" I take his hand and go to our table. During potions the only things on my mind are George, D.A and Harry being annoyingly stubborn. Gosh why do I have to do everything? Draco notices my leg twiching out of anxiety so he puts his hand on my thigh to calm me down but he keeps paying attention to class, making it seemless that his hand is under the table. I look at him lovingly and eventhough he's not looking at me I can see him smile. To make him pay attention to me I take my quill and write Thank you:) in his book. When he looks down to see what I'm doing I see his smile widening and writing Ofc bb in my notebook which makes my heart flutter. "Care to share with the class what's so amusing Ms. Thorn?" Snape asks seriously. "Nothing professor" I answer instantly with Draco's hand still on my leg which starts twitching again and because his hand is on it, it starts moving too "Hands on the table Mr. Malfoy" our professor says as he turns around to face the board again. But Malfoy wants to calm me down eventhough he doesn't know why I'm anxious so he keeps his hand on my leg and looks at me warmly. "Mr. Malfoy, Ms. Thorn no chitchat during my class, five points from slytherin." Snape adds. "But we didn't even-" I try saving ourselves but he cuts me off "Do you want me to make it 10 points instead?" he asks with a threathening tone. "No sir" I answer him and after he turns back Dray and I both roll our eyes at him.

"Can you believe him?" I ask Draco upset as we walk out of the room holding hands. "Head of our own house taking points from us" I continue. "It's really time for us to use the veritaserum on him" Dray says. "Getting more cunning with everyone second you spend with me" I grab his chin and kiss him. We go back to our common room to figure out a plan about how we should make Snape drink the veritaserum but when we sit down on the couch an owl flies in and drops a letter into Draco's lap. "Your parents?" I ask him because his face went dark when he read who it's from. He softly nods as he opens the letter, I try to comfort him by patting his back. As soon as he's done with the letter he stands up and throws it in the fireplace. "Are you okay?" I ask him concerned. He sits back down next to me and shakes his head while looking down on the floor. "Do you wanna tell me about it?" I ask him supportively. "It's just... becoming one of them, I'm not sure I'm ready." he responds hesitantly. "It's okay" I hug him tightly. "I hope all this will end soon..." he whispers. "I hope so too" I say under my breath as I keep hugging him. "We'll survive this together" I encourage him.
