Alone Again (Naturally)

Draco

      As I was standing in front of Skye because she challenged me to a duel my hands were shaking because I didn't want to hurt her. I know that in the past I've made that mistake multiple times to test her and see if she'd still stay by my side but I won't do that ever again. As I look at her for a moment I think I realize what love is and understand how it can make you go crazy. The duel goes swimmingly up until the point when I used a spell too quickly and she couldn't defend herself. I instantly started running towards her but she shaked her head. I was burning up inside all I wanted was to hold her in my arms to make sure she's safe. I look to the side searching for our father's glance but they're both looking at us proudly with no fear at all. Is this what they want for their children? And as I'm sunk in thoughts Skye attacks me, fortunately my father protects me. I can see that although Skye stood up she's struggling not to fall so I rush up to her and catch her. I look at her and feel thankful that we have each other. For a second there I was about to roll  my sleeves up so she could see that I have the same tattoo she does. She is not alone. But our precious moment is broken when my father yells at me saying we have to go. I don't want to leave Skye here with his father but maybe after today, after she proved herself Tom will let her stay at ours for some time. That's the only thing keeping me alive now.

Skye

     I feel so alone. Although my friends were here just ten minutes ago they probably all hate me now. But all my loneliness goes away in a jiffy when a dark shadow appears in front of me. "Our newest member.. You know I don't do house visits very often but in memory of your mother I came here" he says and and as I look up I realize that the Dark Lord is standing before me. "M-my Lord.." I stutter as I don't know where to look or what to do. "I apologize for being late but maybe it's better anyway if it's just the two of us" he continues with a serious voice. He takes a seat at our kitchen table and I follow his lead, I sit in front of him. "Now onto the reason I came here for. As you must know your brother turned out to be a traitor which is a disgrace not just to your family but my army too. My people are already hunting him down so you shouldn't worry about him coming back" he smiles evilly. I smile back at him softly as I gulp. "So because we lost one of our own I require new associates, like you and your little friend Draco." I look at him in shock when He mentions that Draco became a death eater too. "Didn't he tell you?" He laughs as he looks at my birthday gifts. "Oh happy birthday young one" He adds. And I guess Him laughing gets my father's attention because I can see him coming towards us. "My Lord it's such an honor-" dad bows. "I'm not here for you Tom. I'm having a chat with your daughter" He points to me. My father looks at me enviously as he nods then leaves. "So I gave Draco a little task and I'm going to give you one too" He says excitedly. "And to give you a little motivation: I'll find your bother and if you don't finish the assignment I give you he'll die" he continues grimly. I simply nod trying to keep up the facade, pretending I'm okay. "Your task is to help Draco fulfill his, that is if he tells you" he laughs devilish and with that he's gone. I wanted to open my mouth to ask him something but it's too late already. What could be Draco's mission? My father comes running into the kitchen when he hears You-Know-Who is gone. "What did He want?" he asks both with excitement and fear. "He gave me a task to do... or he kills Alik" I explain as I look at where the Dark Lord sit and now he's gone. "That sounds easy. Do it for your family, for a better future!" he grabs my face with both his hands but I know he doesn't care about my brother he just wants power and glory. However I've never seen him this frightened, he's terrified I might fail and we'll be disowned from His army and lose our status. I look at him with no emotions. "Can I go over to Malfoy's? They're part of the plan." I ask him coldly. "Yes of course daughter" he answers immediately. I think I found dad's soft spot.

      After my encounter with You-Know-Who I wrote to George and Ginny instantly. When I get a response from them they say that they're luckily both fine and they try to convince me to visit them but I harshly refuse. I won't go to the Burrow this summer, I really am trouble now. I might really have to stop being friends with them if I want them to be alive. I spend some weeks at home but then decide to go to Malfoy's for the end of summer break. "Okay father we can go" I say to him as I'm all dressed up and have with my luggages in my hands. He grabs my arm and apparates us to the Malfoy Manor. "I'll go to school from here" I say to my father emotionless. He grabs my shirt and pulls me closer to him "Don't fail me daughter" he whispers threateningly . The front door opens and dad quickly pushes me away from him "Lucius" he greets Draco's father. "Tom" this must be the strangest encounter I've ever witnessed. Lucius stands aside to let me in. I grab my luggages but Lucius stops me "The elves will get it" he says trying to be nice. I nod and go in. I look around and see Draco straight away. He smiles at me softly as he comes closer. He hugs me tightly but I don't put my arms around him. "I'm so glad you're okay" he whispers and I can hear from his voice that a weight has been lifted from his shoulders as he sees me safe and sound. "We have to talk" I say seriously with pain in my voice as I end the hug. "Oh okay, let's go up to my room" he responds disappointed. He sits down on his bed but I keep pacing up and down in his room after closing the door. "Why didn't you tell me?" I pause to look at him but he doesn't say anything so I continue "That you have the dark mark and the super secret mission He gave you?" I ask all at once furiously. "Well I didn't think your party would be the perfect place for me to tell you which I was right about by the way.." he says heated but cocky at the same time and as he stands up and approaches me I keep taking a few steps back until I reach his bookshelf which makes me stop. With that our faces come dangerously close to each other. "He gave me a mission too" I say to break the romantic mood because we really have to talk about this first. "I have to help you with yours" I finish what I have to say and he looks at me astonished as he takes a few steps back.
