Draco

     After our first failed assassination attempt Skye has been really throwing herself into quidditch on the other hand I've spent everyday thinking about what we should do. Eventhough everytime I think about it I'm in pain and I have to think all over again about me killing somebody or Skye dying if I don't succeed. And with her so focused on practices she's been bugging me about it, hoping it'd calm me down or take my mind off of Dumbledore. "Dray! We're gonna be late!" she screams as she looks at the clock. "I want you at your best performance today!" she turns to me with a serious look on her face. I try to force a smile on my face for her but I know that the reason she's so into winning now and all the hard practices is because she can't deal with th fact that we have to kill our headmaster or she might die. "We'll be fine. We have you" I say to her encouragingly as I kiss her softly while grabbing her face. She blushes as she grabs her broom and steps outside to the court.

Skye

    I spent one night too many thinking about plans to fulfill the Dark Lord's wishes and it just ruined me, I had a break down. That night Draco and I were in my dorms going over some possibilities and I just realized what it will mean and what it will be like after. "Dray.. I.. I can't do this" I say to him anxious. "Heey Skye look at me" he says to me and holds my hand. I do as he says and I notice how his face is so pale and there are purple bags under his eyes, he changed and for the worst. This mission changed him. I promised I'd protect him at all costs but he's getting worse.. even just the thought of that breaks my heart and now it's the reality plus I didn't even notice. And suddenly all I can focuse on is his well being "Did you eat anything today?" I ask him worried. "I- well no but are you okay love?" he looks at me confused. I stand up and grab a protein bar from my bag and hand it to him "Eat it!" I wait for him to take a bite. "Are you sure you're fine?" he asks. "Your mom thinks I'm a good influence on you... I wouldn't want to fail.. her" I say shyly but don't say out loud what I really mean. "You could never fail me. I've tested you many times-" he starts comforting me but stops before saying something he'd regret or because I was looking at him threateningly. So instead of talking he just kisses me quickly.

     But now it's a day to look forward to the first quidditch match this year and we're up against none other than gryffindor. As we go out to the field I can see that Ron and Ginny made the team. Finally a challange for us. We were doing pretty good and there was even a big chance we'd win this when our seeker sees the golden snitch but Harry says something to him and it makes him confused. Harry catches the snitch and the game is over.

      The contest ends and I get off my broom furiously. I shake hands with Harry but after that I run away from their victory celebration. I feel a hand grabbing mine but I break free of the grip "Skye wait a minute!" I hear Draco but I just keep walking faster. "Losing is not the end of the world" he yells and it makes me stop. I turn around and look at him puzzled because I can't believe he just said that. "Are you serious?" I laugh as I go closer to him and boy him in his arm angrily multiple time. "Skye stop!" he says as he grabs my wrists while tears are falling down my face. "I know it's not about quidditch.. but just because we lost or rather failed the first time doesn't mean that we won't get it.." he continues hesitantly. I look up at him and feel relieved that he understands me so I put my arms around him tightly. "I'm sorry" I whisper. "It's gonna be okay love" he says softly as he pulls me in closer while fondling my hair.

Draco

      Seeing her being so vulnerable and freaked out makes me want to be stronger for her, for the both of us. We get back to the dungeons go to her dorm and we just sit on her bed as I cuddle her. "Are.. you okay?" she asks as she looks at me. I haven't had a nervous breakdown today so.. "I guess" I answer but she sits up and looks at me in the eyes. "I'm here for you. Always" she takes my hand. "I just.. have doubts.. about me fulfilling His wish" it breaks out of me. "You won't have to do it alone and you won't have to do it face to face we'll figure something out" she encourages me and strokes my hands. "I actually have an idea... There's a vanishing cabinet in the Room of Requirement and it's twin is in Borgin&Burkes. I'll use that..." I explain with a distressed tone. "That's a great idea!" she says proudly but I notice sadness in her eyes.

     Christmas is near and annoying Slughorn professor is holding a party for his little club but that's why it's the perfect time for me to work on my plan. "Are you sure this is a good idea? It's after curfew.." she asks me as I grab my wand. I look into the mirror my face is still pale and I look more tired then ever. "Yeah, I'll be fine. You just stay here" I turn to her and caress her face. As I'm on my way to the Room of Requirement Filch catches me "What are you doing here?" he asks then grabs me by my neck. "I uhh.. I got an invitation to the party" I come up with a lie as I'm being dragged by Filch. "Professor Slughorn! I caught him on the lower corridors. He said he got an invitation but he departed late. Is that true?" he informs Slughorn as we get into his office. "Okay fine I lied I didn't get an invitation. Happy now?" I lash out. "I'm not! Didn't the headmaster tell-" the janitor raises his voice. "Oh leave it Argus, it's Christmas. It's not a sin if someone wants to go to a party. This time you can stay Draco." the professor turnes to me. I smile at him softly and adjust my tie "Thank you professor! And I'm sorry about before.." I say gratefully but he cuts me off "Oh it's nothing. After all I knew your grandfather..." "He always spoke of you with the out most respect sir. He even said you're the finest potion maker he ever knew.." I butter him up. "Draco a word?" I hear Snape's deep voice which makes me wanna throw up. "Severus don't be so uptight it's Christmas!" Slughorn tries to defend me. "I'm his Head of House I have the right to give him proper punishment. Come with me Draco!" Snape says angrily. I follow him quietly. We go into an empty room. "You can't make any mistakes Draco because if you get expelled..." he starts but I interrupt him "I didn't do it who says I've had anything to do with it?" I lash out at him. "Oh I see your aunt Bellatrix taught you Legilimency. What secrets do you want to keep from Him?" he asks threateningly. "I'm not trying to hide anything from Him!" I yell. "Look I want to help you I took the Unbreakable Vow to your mother.." he says desperately. "Well it looks like you have to break it! I got the mission, I have the plan and it's going to work!" I raise my voice to prove a point. "What's your plan? If you tell me I can help" he offers. "I don't need your help I'm not alone!" I say to him as I think of Skye. "I know you want my glory!" I continue. "You're talking like a child. I know your father's recent imprisonment is staggering but.." he takes it too far so I rush out of there.
