I'm slowly drifting to you

    After talking with Dray and knowing that our parents will probably be part of You-Know-Who's return. We were both in shock so we just layed on top of the astronomy tower watching the stars. When we realized it was half past 1am we decided to sneak back to our dorms. We almost made it to the dungeons when we heard a deep voice, Snape's: "Out late I see. Miss Thorn and Mr. Malfoy, you had quite the game today so because of that I'll only take 15 points from slytherin for being out after curfew. Malfoy go back to your dormitary, I have to talk with Miss Thorn." he said in a cold tone. I looked at Malfoy and nodded that he should go, I'll be fine so he goes through the dungeon's door. "Yes professor what is it that you wanted to talk about?" I ask him. "I noticed that you might've sprained your wrist while playing I wanted to give you a healing potion" he answered calmly. "Oh, yes I must've not noticed it because of the adrenalin" I said while following Snape to his office. He gives me a vial and tells me to drink it do, so I do, he then checks my wrist "Does this hurt?" he asks while twisting my wrist. "No sir, thank you" I say politely. "You should really learn how to take care of yourself, I can hear your thoughts racing." he looks into my eyes. "I think I should go back..." I say shyly and start walking backwards towards the door, but Snape closes it when I try to open it. He stands before me just looking at me "Just a minute Miss Thorn, you won't remember this anyway" he chuckles lightly. Next thing I know I'm walking back to the dungeons, when I step in to the common room I see Draco nervously waiting for me "What happened?" he asks, I can feel he's worried. "Oh he just gave me a potion for my sprained wrist" I try acting normal, calming him down but he looks at me weirdly and even I know something's wrong, but we have enough to worry  about.

   I just wanna go up to my dorms and sleep but Dray stops me and asks me: "Wait Skye I wanted to ask if maybe you'd wanna spend Christmas break at our place?" I know that he's going through a lot and he needs someone, I can't leave him alone. "Of course Dray, I'll write to my mom about it in the morning" I start to walk away but quickly add: "Are you sure your parents will be fine with it?" "Maybe not but it'll be more fun that way" he responds with a smirk, getting back to his "normal" self (which is when he shoves all his emotions down and acts tough). 

   Next morning I write to my mom asking her if I could spend the break at the Malfoy Manor and fortunately I get a quick response saying: By all means you can, but we still wanna see you for a day! After I've received the letter I go looking for Draco to tell him the good news, when I see him I jump into his neck and say: "Dray I can spend the break at your's, I only have to be home for one day, did you ask your parents?" I ask excitedly. "I did. They weren't as happy as you are now but they didn't actually say no so I think it's a win-win." he says and gives me a big smile that makes my heart happy. Unfortunately I couldn't enjoy that moment of happiness for a long time because I felt a hand grabbing me by the shoulder and spinning me around to face him. It was my brother. "Hi sis what is it that I hear you won't be joining us for christmas break?" he asks abruptly.  "Hi Alik, good to see you too bro, how have you been?" I ask calmly. "Are you serious you really wanna do this? Skye you're important to me so I just wanna know why you're spending the holidays with Malfoy!" he almost yells at me. "Alik I know that you want the best for me but right now I have to be with Malfoy, okay? If that makes you happy I'll write to you everyday so that you know I'm not dead in a ditch somewhere." I say jokingly but in a serious tone. "Very funny Scarlette." he teases me. "That's not even my name, you sure you care about me or are you having a stroke dear brother?" I leave it at that because he walks away.

     The yule ball is coming up this week and everyone's looking forward to it. Luna, Ginny and I go to Diagon Alley to try on some dresses. Luna chooses a baby blue flowy dress, Ginny's mom already made her a green-pink dress and I go with the long black dress with swarovski. We go back to school and get ready for tomorrow. "Did you pick up your dress?" Dray asks me as I step foot in the common room. "I did but you gotta wait 'til tomorrow to see it." I answer. I start going up to the girls dormitories but Dray says: "Hey Skye I've got you something for the dance tomorrow" and puts a snake ring with smaragd eyes on my ring finger. "It's so pretty, thank you! Good night Draco." and with that I go up to have a good night's sleep. Next morning I go to the gryffindor's dorm to look for Ginny and Hermione, fortunately Fred's coming up the stairs so he let's me in by saying the password and the Fat Lady lets us pass. "So what brings you here Skye?" asks Fred. "I just came by looking for Hermione and Ginny." I answer. "Lemme help: GINNYYY!" said Fred, although he screamed his sister's name. "What's wrong?" said Ginny while coming down from the dormitories. "Hi Ginny, I came to hang out" I say to her. "Hi Skye let me grab Hermione and we can go" she answered.

  The three of us hang out all day and got ready for the yule ball in the evening. I wore my black dress with silver accessories and the ring that I got from Dray. We went down and I saw Dray in his black suit waiting for me with a rose in his hand. "Nice of you to show up" he says smugly. "I waited like 10 minutes" he continues. "Just give me that stupid rose" I say angrily. "I like the dress though" he gives me a little smile then takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. We danced all night, it was actually fun.

   The weeks flew by and it's already the beginning of Christmas break. I pack some clothes, my broom and put Asmo on my shoulder. Dray and I go down to the great hall,  I say my goodbyes to my friends. George gets really sad that I won't be spending the break at The Burrow. "You guys will still get presents" I say giggling. "We don't need presents silly, we wanna spend time with you!" answered Fred. "We'll spend the summer together, okay? I promise." I compromise. "You promised so you have to!" says Georgie. I hug them goodbye, and go back to Draco: "My parents said that they'll pick us up at Hogsmeade"

    We get to Hogsmeade go in Three Broomsticks, get a couple butterbeers, while we wait for Dray's parents to arrive we play with Asmo, I also try distracting Dray because he seems anxious. Draco gets up as he sees his parents approaching us. "Mom, Dad this is Skye Thorn. Skye these are my parents Narcissa and Lucius." he introduces us. "Very nice meeting you" I say nicely while looking at them, they nod in approval. We get to Malfoy Manor, Dray shows me around the house and the garden but we go to his room and hang out there. We make potions he shows me his books and broom collection. We tried making veritaserum and Dray told me to try it so we can see if it works. He asked me: "How do you feel?" and I confessed my feelings for him. "Well I think it works" Draco said laughing while getting closer to me and kissing me. "I think I have feelings for you too" he said shyly.
