"You look disgusting."
"You look horrendous."
"Despicable."
"Monstrous."
"Awful."
"Fat." Percy gasped so loudly I couldn't stop laughing while he put one hand on his chest and gaped at me. Annabeth rolled her eyes and Jason was trying to hide the fact that he was laughing.
"That's a low blow." Percy said shaking his head at me. "Can you believe this! My own sister!" He cried out, gesturing at me to Annabeth.
"You guys are so alike it hurts." She said rolling her eyes.
"Yeah I thought one Percy was enough but now we have the girl version of him." Jason chimed in, making Piper laugh.
"You mean the better version." I said with a grin. Percy shook his finger at me.
"I'm older. I'm better by default."
"First the worst." I said with a shrug throwing at him an old middle school joke. "Second the best." There was a chorus of "Oooo's" from our friends and Percy shook his head, eyes narrowed at me.
"She is better than you." Nico said emerging from the trees and walking in stride with me.
"I thought you said he wasn't coming." Hazel asked glancing over at her big brother. He nodded her way but his eyes were locked on me. At least I thought they were. He was wearing those godforsaken sunglasses again.
"I thought he wasn't." I said elbowing Nico in the ribs. Nico smirked but otherwise didn't react. "What changed your mind?" I asked Nico, smiling up at him.
"Well you're here so I'm here. It doesn't matter that your insufferable friends, my sister, and your brother are here too."
"Our insufferable friends you mean."
"We are perfectly sufferable." Leo argued. Nico rolled his eyes. At least, I assumed he did.
"Do you not know how to swim?" Frank asked Nico. Nico set his eyes on the tall muscular Asian kid. Who merely shrugged under his cold stare. "Valid question." He murmured to himself.
"That's it isn't it. You don't know how to swim." Percy said reaching across me and hitting Nico's arm.
"I know how to swim I just don't like doing it." Nico grumbled as we finally emerged onto the beach. There were already several campers lounging around in the sun and splashing in the blue-green ocean. Nico stopped at the line of trees. I glanced at him curiously as everyone else walked past.
"Oh come on." I said, placing my hands on my hips. "You're not even going to go down on the sand?" I asked him.
"Sand gets everywhere." Nico muttered running a hand through his black hair. I rolled my eyes at him.
"So are you just going to stand here?" I asked as I watched Percy pull off his shirt. "Hey Fishboy! Put that back on its bright enough without your white skin." Percy makes a face at me and kisses Annabeth's cheek before she plops down on a towel. He's not so pale actually, in fact he looks like a sea god himself with his lightly tanned skin, dark hair and green swim trunks.
"Yeah I'll probably just stand here." Nico says.
"And watch us? You're creepy." I tease stepping closer and leaning in to him. Nico places his left hand on my neck and pulls me closer for a kiss. Even in the warm sun he's ice cold. "Okay, but you're missing out." I whispered to him pulling back a little.
"It's just water." I didn't have to fake being offended by this statement because I was offended. As a daughter of Poseidon it was down right traumatizing. Nico grins at me.
