As night came, me and Two-bit decided to make a few stops. We stopped by a small gift store. As I looked around a book caught my eye. Gone with the wind, I've heard it before. I just can't remember. Then it hit me, Ponyboy had mentioned this book and we even went to see the movie, I knew he wanted it so badly, why not do him a small favor. After we bought some gifts for everyone we spotted a huge store filled with candy and the huge sign with the name of Candy Land glowed. We couldn't say no to candy so we entered the store. I ate as many candies as I could. Two-bit warned me not to eat so many but I didn't listen to him, you never know when your last meal is. Once I was full enough to stop, we left and I took a bag of candy for the road. Two-bit wanted to go to the Curtis house to give everyone their presents and see their reactions but I still wasn't ready to see Ponyboy, I just can't. So I had to make up an excuse of why I couldn't come with him.
"Two-bit?"i said
"Yeah?"he replied with his eyes glued to the road
"I'm not feeling so great"i lied
"I told you not to eat so many candies, we'll go to the Curtis house tomorrow then"Two-bit said
"No, no, you go ahead, just drop me off home, then when you come you can tell me all about their reactions"I said
"I don't want to leave you alone with her, what if she hurts you and I'm not there, If something were to happen to you I'd never forgive myself Y/n"Two-bit said.
"I'll be fine, I won't let her put a hand on me, I promise"I assured him. He stopped the car and he looked at me.
"Okay fine, but if something bad happens call the Curtis house, I'll quickly pick it up and no more eatin candy"he said. I nodded and he continued driving. As he pulled up our house before he could leave I told him who were who's gifts. I walked inside the house and i could hear the sound of the motor drift away. I locked the door and turned around, my mom was just standing there.
"You missed school today huh?" she said
"Look if you want to argue, well i don't, go find someone else to argue with"I said walking to my room
"I wasn't going to argue, Your friend, Ponyboy came to drop off some school work and he told me to hand it to you"she said. She gave me the papers.
"Oh, thanks, i guess"i said and walked into my room. What's gotten into her? I shaked my head and decided to take a shower. Once I was done, I sat down at my small desk and began to do the work Ponyboy had dropped off. I picked up the page and I saw a piece of paper slipped out. I picked it up and It said something. It looked like Johnny's handwriting. Let's just say Johnny doesn't have the best handwriting but you could still read it.
Y/n, call Cherry, she said it's urgent

I wonder what was so important that Cherry needed to tell me and how'd this get in there. I rushed to the phone and before I called Cherry I asked my mom something.
"Was there anyone else with Ponyboy when he came to drop off my work?"
"Oh yeah, Johnny and a redhead girl"she said
"Oh okay"I said and I dialed Cherry's number.
"Hello?" Cherry asked
"Hey Cherry, It's me Y/n, Johnny told me to call you because it was urgent"I said
"Oh yeah, well it's not that urgent but i didn't think you'd call if i didn't say it was urgent" she replied
"Don't be silly, we're friends, I'll always be there for you, now what did you want to tell me?" i asked
