Me and Two were walking home. I was remembering that time when me and Pony were ten and we were learning how to skate. We failed to stay up and fell so many times. I was the first to get a hang of it. Pony had a bit more trouble but then he got it. Mr. Curtis would take us to the park when no one was there and we'd play football. Mrs. Curtis would be cheering us on. We were split into teams of two. Pony and soda were on my team. Darry, Two-bit, and Mr. Curtis were on the other team. Even though we lost, I had so much fun.
"So what were you and Pony talking about during dinner?" Two asks
"Just about a story he is writing, I gave him some advice because he didn't know what to write about, oh um I'm going to the drive-in with Pony on Friday" I reply
"Ooh you're going on a date with Pony!" he shouted
"It's not a date, we are just going as friends," I say
"Mhmm" he teases
"Whatever," I say
"Let's just say if I do have some type of feelings for him, Do you think he would feel the same?" I ask.
"Hell yeah, y'all are so close, you two are inseparable, y'all are two peas in a pod" he says smiling
"Why do you ask? Do you like him?"he cocks an eyebrow
"Ugh nooo! I was just asking"i shout and push him
The truth is that I don't know what I feel. I don't know what love feels like. Do I love him? Ugh no, no i don't. He would never feel the same for me anyway. I bet he only thinks of me as a sister or something like that. We get into the house and my mom is sleeping on the couch snoring so loudly that Arizona started to complain. She looked dead and God forgive me for saying this but sometimes I wish she was. She is always putting me to shame. She says she's working but can't pay the rent because she has no money. Two-bit is the one who is paying the rent. She never really took care of us. We tiptoed across the living room and into our bedrooms. I plumped on my bed and drifted off to sleep.
