Rose's POV

I took my seat during the feast next to Katherine and Jordan with Draco in front of me with his two goons Crabbe and Goyle. I also noticed Pansy staring rather lovingly into Malfoy's eyes, her crush had grown even more if that's even posisble.

"Drakie" her voice rang out.

I was enjoying my pumpkin juice happily when what Pansy said made me laugh so much I spat my juice straight back into the cup.

"Stop Rose" she spat
"Hey you were the one who made me ruin my drink"
"Draco..." she called again, curling her brown hair with her fingers. Trying to be hot. It didn't work.
"Merlin what?" He spat
"You said you'd sit next me during the feast" she cried
"And what do you want me to do about it" Draco replied frustrated.

Without hesitation Pansy stood up and knocked Goyle off his seat and sat next to Draco interlocking her arm with his. To my surprise, he didn't even stop her.
"Ew" I muttered under my breath
"Jealous" Pansy spat at me which made Draco avert his attention to me
"No Pansy...just no" I trailed off.

Thankfully Dumbledore started his speech which made Pansy forcefully shut her mouth. He introduced us the usual way, but with a twist. Dumbledore explained how this year Hogwarts would be hosting the Triwizard Tournaments, along with Durmstrang and my former school Beauxbatons.

"Let's show them a warm welcome" He called and to my pain the Hogwarts song began to play and everyone stood up to join in.
Everyone was singing, even the Slytherin table.
I simply tried to cover my mouth and muffle my laughter that wanted to escape so bad only making Katherine try to not laugh along with me. My eyes met with Draco's who look in pain at what was happening and he turned to watch Goyle a few seats down thoroughly enjoying himself. Making Draco seem even more in pain.
By this moment I'd had enough and pulled my hands over my ears to try and drown out the god awful song which made Draco smirk in my direction in amusement at my reaction.

That was enough to make my knees completely weak.

"You can uncover your ears now Rose" Jordan laughed
"Thank Merlin" I groaned.

Suddenly, the grand oak doors opened and the two schools were officially introduced. Everyone turned in amazement as soon as they spotted the one and only Viktor Krum. I however focused on Hermione's huge blush that appeared on her cheeks as he shot her a smile walking past...

Overall the feast was fine, apart from the uproar that was caused by the announcement no wizard younger than 17 could participate in the tournament. This royally pissed of Fred and George as they shouted at
"That's rubbish" over and over again.

"Do you think Cedric would enter" Katherine questioned
"No...no he wouldn't..." somehow my gut told me different...fuck.

I made my way to the Hufflepuff table to be greeted by Matt and a few other friends of Cedric's. Cedric was talking to Cho Chang, which finally did not bother me. During the summer I had told him to ask her out when we returned to Hogwarts, it was only right.
"Hey Cho can I borrow Cedric" I sweetly smiled
"Sure" she smiled back
I tugged Cedric's robe in the direction of the exit to the great hall.
"What's up?" He said as I pulled him out of the hall with no word
Once we were out of the hall I let go of my grip on Cedric and looked deeply into his brown eyes.

"Please tell me you aren't gonna put your name into the Goblet Of Fire" I trailed off
Once he didn't speak I knew the answer.

"Cedric...it's so dangerous" I muttered
"But what are the chances of my name being picked"
"But what if you are" i cried
"Then I'll go out there and win, getting eternal glory Rose! Think about what that would do for my family for all of us!"
"I'd rather having you in one piece than eternal glory..." I said looking down at the ground.
"Rose, there's a slim chance I'll be picked, and anyways I want to do this. Don't you trust me" he smiled
"Don't do that you know I do" I laugh in defeat
"I will be fine, do you hear me?" He then cupped my face into his hands, making me look at him.
"I still think your an idiot" I mutter
"Love you too Nicholls" he chuckled as he walked away from me before I could get another word in edge ways.

I took in a deep breath and headed towards the Slytherin dungeons not watching what I was doing. Before I could even realise I had crashed into someone and landed straight at their feet. Could this day get any worse. I quickly gathered my self to look who I had bumped into.

"Falling at my feet now are we Blondie".

Of course it's Draco.

Once again, Draco stared at me burning me with his intense gaze.

"Well are you gonna help me up or not" I sneered
"Of course Blondie" he laughed while swiftly picking me up and getting my back to my feet.

He pulled me quite close to his face when he brought me back up to my feet and I could practically feel his breath mix with mine.

"You literally just fell for me" he winked
"In your dreams Malfoy"
He simply smiled and offered me his arm
"What's this" I said
"We can walk together to the common room"
"Won't your girlfriend cause a fit if she seems our arms interlinked".
His soft expression quickly turned to one of frustration and annoyance and his pulled his arm away.
"Wait" I said as I for some bizarre reason grabbed his arm and interlocked it with mine. Why I did that i could not comprehend. Part of me wanting to touch him, another part just could not be bothered to deal with an annoyed Malfoy yet.

"See you are falling for me" He smirked
"Your right Malfoy I am completely infatuated with you" I teased.

Before we began to walk off he took his free hand and lifted the chain of my necklace from my neck. placing his fingers on the emerald locket and caressing it carefully. I felt my words get stuck in my throat and I was unable to move as his grey eyes examined the necklace and I could have sworn a small smile appeared on his lips as he stared at the shiny green. But then, he titled it up slightly to the light.

He knew, he knew you had to life it to the light to see the stars. How we he know that if he wasn't the one who bought it for me.

"It looks nice on you" he muttered, averting his gaze away from the necklace and right back at me.
"T...th..thanks" I muttered as I felt his fingers brush against my skin slightly.

"So Cedric is going to enter this name" Katherine gasped
"Yeah..."
"Are you okay with it?"
"I mean no, but it's not my decision" I explained
"I mean what is the likely hood he'll be chosen though" Katherine tried to console me
"Your right, it's nothing to worry about" I muttered.

"Rose"
"Mhmm"
"Can I ask you something"
"Erm...yes" I didn't have a good feeling
"Do you...Like Malfoy now"
"What?!" I shouted "No, absolutely not!"
"It's just the way you've been acting around each other today, and I've caught him looking over at you during the feast" she explained.
"He was" i gasped
"I knew it!" Katherine jumped up
"No, no no!"
"Yes you do" she squealed
"No!" I shouted "no no no no no"
"Rose..." she laughed "it's fine if you do like him, I'm never going to judge you" she assured me
"I mean...I don't know"
"If you like him?" She questioned, I simply nodded.

Fuck it.

I told Katherine everything, from the necklace and how I thought he bought it me, to why I thought he got it me, telling her about the astronomy tower. But I did not tell her the things Draco had told me, I would never do that especially when he had opened up to me so shockingly.

"What are you going to do then"
"Nothing Katherine, I mean it's nothing"
"Well if you ever wanna talk, I'm here. No judgement" she smiled
"Love you Kat"
"You too...Blondie, see he even has a cute nickname for you" she teased
I rolled over to me bed and covered my ears in discomfort as I listened to Katherine hysterically giggle.
