Rose's POV
------
My mind raced at the thought of what had just happened, I mean Malfoy had come to my rescue? Of all people Malfoy. Don't get me wrong I was relived, I couldn't have handled that situation with the Carrows alone. But, I brushed all thoughts of Draco Malfoy aside and headed to find Neville and everyone else. My feet carried me all the way over to the Griffindore tower, muttering the password that Neville had told me the following day. I stepped inside as the portrait door swung itself open to see Neville, Ginny and Katherine sat by the fire with a few of the first years, food everywhere. The first years who are seemed to be Griffindores devoured the endless supply of food and pumpkin juice that was sprawled across the floor while making themselves warm by the roaring fire.

"Hey" I called out, making everyone's attention turn to me
"ROSE!" Katherine jumped up and ran towards me, pulling me into a tight hug
"Nice to see you too Katherine" I laughed as I wrapped my arms firmly around her.

"How did you get away?" Neville questioned, making Katherine pull away from the hug
"I almost didn't" I scoffed "Malfoy...well saved me"
"Malfoy!" Neville said with disbelief
"Amynus was about to use the killing curse on me" I stuttered as my mind flicked back to the memory.
"Seriously!" Ginny breathed out as they all looked back at me completely enraged.
"But then Malfoy stopped them and took their memories" I shrugged looking about as confused as they did.

"Why would he even do that? Isn't he a..." Neville began
"A death eater" Katherine said sternly
"Yes, that" Neville said
"I know it doesn't make any sense, I've barely ever spoken to him" I said puzzled
"He definitely took their memories?" Ginny questioned
"Yes definitely I saw it"
"Never thought I say this but thank you Draco Malfoy" Neville scoffed.

"Where are the rest of the first years" I queried
"We took them back to their houses with plates filled with food" Neville smiled
"Brilliant" I breathed out as I look a seat besides Neville.

I sat and watched the bright orange flames of the fire danced around, mesmerising my eyes. But I couldn't shake off the thought of Draco Malfoy it was starting to make me feel uncomfortable. Everything about that situation made me feel that way, I mean the Carrows would have killed me if he didn't show up. I couldn't get in trouble with them again no matter how much Neville begged me, not when they are capable of using that curse easily. I felt my heart pound violently in my chest thinking about the platinum blond hair, the almost grey eyes and the pale skin of Malfoy. I had never realised how attractive he actually was.

Merlin what? No Rose, no he's a Death Eater!

The next day me, Katherine, Neville and Ginny walked nervously to defence against the dark arms, dread filling up all of our stomachs. We had tried our best to eat some breakfast but our bodies just didn't allow it to travel down our throats, anxiety fuelled us today not food. The walk to the classroom seemed longer than usual and I noticed Katherine pick at her finger nails, chipping away at the nail varnish. As we walked into the classroom we all stayed silent while keeping our eyes away from the Carrows, not wanting to draw any attention to ourselves. The Carrow siblings seemed normal, the same usual glare and the same mean posture. None of us could truly be sure if Draco Malfoy had solved the situation which only made this more nerve racking, if they remembered anything we were dead. Literally. I took my usual seat next to Katherine as we flicked open our textbooks to get on with the lesson.

None of us piped up a single word all lesson even when the Carrows made Seamus used the imperius curse on Dean. It took everything in me not to move a muscle and just watch the horror of the lesson. But the Carrows didn't appear to remember anything, they seemed a little out of place but they didn't even give me a single look all class. Maybe Draco helped me, but why was the only question left.
