Fire Whisky

Rose's POV

It was nearing the end of the year, and this year had well and truly been a whirlwind. I had made friends I knew I would keep for life. I'd even made a few enemies on the way. I just wish I could turn back time and have been at Hogwarts from year one. It truly was an amazing place, it was home.

Dumbledore had even arranged an end of term party for all the students in the great hall on the last night of term which I was looking forward to so much. To my amazement I'd even been asked to sing, you'd think people would have grown sick of my voice by now. Hermione told me Dumbledore had arranged the party for a great accomplishment when I asked what this was Hermione and Harry simple laughed as if I had asked the most stupid question ever....
Who knows.

Me and Draco had been civil, not a single argument. Sure we still bickered but they were just funny conversations now, not mean like they had been in the past. It was really lovely to see a different side to the notorious 'bad boy' and I stood by what I thought before that he was a really decent person deep down it was just buried under a lot of personal struggle.

I'd even passed all my test with flying colours, not quite top of the class Draco and Hermione had beaten me to that but as long as I had passed I didn't care...okay maybe I cared a-bit.

It was finally the night of the party and me Hermione and Katherine were getting ready together in Hermione's dorm room. We had become like sisters this past year, I really didn't know how I managed before I became friends with them.

I decided to straighten my naturally wavy hair, and as I loved makeup so much I decided to be more creative. I kept my base very simplistic but for my eyes I added blue glitter to my eyelids and finished this off with eyeliner on top creating a sharp wing which extended to the edge of the blue glitter on the eyelids, creating a graphic eyeliner effect. I matched the blue to my outfit by wearing blue velvet trousers, along with a black body suit and a matching blue velvet blazer over the top. I finished it off with my black doc martens and added a ray of different pieces of jewellery, including my snake necklace to represent my house.

Me, Katherine and Hermione all made our way out of the Griffindore common room to be greeted by Fred and George and Neville.

"Ladies" they smiled
We each interlinked arms with one of the boys
Hermione took Neville's hand, Katherine was with George and I was with Fred.
Our laughter and chatted filled the silent halls as we made our way to the great hall, all excited for the night of celebration.
The hall looked incredible, tables full of food and drink, a huge stage in the corner followed by beautiful decorations hovering below the ceiling representing the four houses.
"Wow" Fred breathed
"Wow indeed" I smiled.

Me, Fred and George had snuck some fire whisky in between us, we didn't really care to drink fruit flavoured punch all night. I wanted to have fun. They went to get a few cups to pour the fire whiskey in discretely. We huddled into a corner avoiding all the adults and poured the alcohol into our cups along with Katherine and Ron who fancied some as well. As I took a sip I was reminded of the burning sensation as the liquid travelled down my throat, exploding in the wonderful flavour and sensation.

I could already feel my body vibrate as I filled my cup up again for the second time.

"Damn Rose slow down" Fred laughed
"I'm an expert at this Fred don't worry about me" I said smirking at him which he quickly returned.

"Oh shit Rose erm someone's coming right towards you" Katherine quickly muttered under her breath.

At first I thought she meant Draco but no.
"Rose can we speak" I turned about and was greeted with Cedric's warm chestnut brown eyes
"Sure" I said, we needed to talk term was almost over and I didn't wanna leave with unfinished business.
