War Has Begun

Rose's POV

Me and Ginny raced through the the halls until we found Harry along with a large group of other students including Luna, Neville, Harry, Hermione and Ron. As soon as me and Ginny rushed in the room turned silent, all eyes moving to us.

"Harry " Ginny breathed out
"Hi there" Harry smiled awkwardly much to Ron's despair.

"6 months she hasn't seen me and it's like I'm frankie first year, I'm only her brother " Ron rolled his eyes
"She's got lost of them though, there's only one Harry" Seamus winked, lifting the mood well not for Ron
"Shut up Seamus" Ron said with frustration.

"Are you done?" I laughed
"What is it guys" Neville questioned
"Snape knows Harry was spotted in Hogsmead" Ginny said making everybody in the room stiffen up. Time was running out.

"I've got a plan" Harry smiled.

We all made our way out of the room, off to our houses. I grabbed ahold of Hermione and Katherine not having time to chat as we raced along with Ron to alter the order Harry was here. We needed all the back up we could get. Hermione, Katherine and I slowly walked down the corridors trying to stay out of sight, all hand in hand. Harry had raced off, fully dressed in Griffindore robes along with Ginny, Seamus and Dean. It didn't take long for the order to respond and apparate straight to Hogwarts and finding us all keeping out of sight. We saw everyone get marched straight into the great hall, the Carrows and Snape making their way into the hall with their heads held high. Seeing the Carrows only made my skin crawl, the anger rising.

I was snapped out from my anger however as soon as I saw Matt approaching with the rest of the order out of the corner of my eye. Katherine launched herself into George's arms as soon as she saw him, drowning in his arms. A feeling of jealously washed over me. Matt made his way up to me instantly pulling me into a tight hug, we were both preparing ourselves for what was to come.

"It's happening tonight isn't it?" I asked
"I'm afraid so Rose" Matt weakly smiled
"We've got each other though" I smiled back
"Always" Hermione joined in making my heart burst with the love I felt for my friends even in this horrifying moment.

The Weasleys, Katherine, Matt, Hermione, Tonks, Remus and Kingsley, Bill, Fluer, Neville and I marched towards the great hall after Harry's shouting rang out for us all to hear. Hermione held onto my hand, Katherine besides us with George. The huge oak doors of the great hall swung open, revealing Harry stood in the centre, Snape looking ambushed. All eyes turned to us as we marched toward, here to defend Harry. My eyes locked with Blaise and Jordan as I shot them a weak smile, hopefully they would be on our side.

"How dare you stand where he stood...TELL THEM HOW IT HAPPENED THAT NIGHT, TELL THEM HOW YOU LOOKED HIM IN THE EYE A MAN WHO TRUSTED YOU AND KILLED HIM".

"TELL THEM".

Suddenly, Snape raised his wand straight at Harry as soon as the words escaped his mouth. I let go of Hermione's hand and reached for my wand but McGonagall was quicker than all of us. She moved forward brushing Harry out of the way and she came face to face with Snape. Her wand raised up at him with a stern look on her face. I could barely believe it.

Then she shot a spell right for Snape, then another and another. Moving closer to him showing absolutely no mercy as she continued to fire spells. As much as Snape tried to defend himself McGonagall proved to be stronger than he was. I watched trying my best to keep up with the scenes unfolding as Snape turned into a thick cloud of black smoke, shooting through the stain glass windows and disappearing into the night. Racing forward I shot two strong spells right at the Carrows siblings rendering them unconscious, a large smile taking over my face as I watched their bodies drop to the floor. I turned around to see McGonagall try to hide her smile as she looked between me and the Carrows.

"I've been wanting to do that for a while" I smirked as the hall broke out into loud cheers, clapping and chanting for Harry. We were all hopeful. We had to be. Hermione and Katherine rushed towards me, pulling me into a hug, all of us laughing for the first time in a long time. We finally had each other again.

"I've missed you two so much" Hermione smiled
"We've missed you too" Katherine beamed
"The gang is back together again" I laughed.

But our laughter was short lived and we were ripped away from our hug as soon as an ear ripping scream filled up the great hall making us all turn to see the source. But by the time we had turned around more people were screaming, then more, then more. It wasn't long until we were all made very aware by what was making them scream. I flinched as the snake like voice of the Dark Lord entered my ears forcefully, making my body run cold.

"I know that many of you will want to fight, some of you may even think that to fight is wise but this is folly".

The Dark Lords voice felt like it was coursing through my veins, my stomach churning making me feel like I could be sick at any moment. I saw everyone's faces turn pale the life being suck out of us.

"Give me Harry Potter, do this and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter and I shall leave Hogwarts untouched. Give me Harry Potter and you will be rewarded. You have one hour".

I felt the life flow back into me as soon as the terrifying voice of the Dark Lord left my body. The room fell completely silent, all eyes on Harry. No one moved a muscle. But to everyone's surprise someone spoke up...

"Wait are you waiting for! Someone grab him" The all to familiar voice of Pansy Parkison rang out.

As soon Pansy finished her absurd suggesting Ginny stepped firmly in front of Harry, me, Hermione and Katherine following her action along with many other students. I shot Pansy the dirtiest long I could conjure up.

"Shut the fuck up Parkison" I spat, turning even more angry as Blaise and Jordan stood idly by her.

Only seconds later Mr Filch came bounding through the hall, shouting about how the students were out of bed as Mrs Norris sat comfortably in his arms. I saw McGonagall roll her eyes in frustration as she yelled at Filch, I mean did he really not know what was going on?. Mr Filch's expression turned to one of embarrassment as he held onto Mrs Norris even tighter out of comfort. McGonagall took one look at Pansy and the rest of the Slytherins who seemed so disinterested by Harry needing held and she sent them away to the dungeons of all places. I shot Blaise and Jordan a pleading look for them to come and stand by me but much to my sorrow they kept their heads down and followed Mr Filch. It made me angry, Slytherins weren't bad people they have just been deemed as such but right not after what Pansy had done I couldn't careless. All I cared about was finding Draco and helping Harry.

"War has begun" Katherine frowned
"We've got this" I tried to smile.

"Right we have to try and delay the death eaters from reaching the castle, Rose you'll come with me, Katherine your with George" Matt said quickly
"Where are you going?" I questioned
"To guard the tower, let's go" He said tugging my arm away from Katherine.
"Rose wait one second-" Katherine blurted
"Was it?"
"I'll keep an eye out for Draco now I remember everything, we all will don't worry" She smiled
"Love you" I smiled "Stay safe".

I made my way out of the great hall with Matt as students pushed past us, panic and fear in every single expression. Matt held onto my hand fiercely
as we barged past the rushing students, running up the steep staircases of Hogwarts.

War had began, it would happen tonight.

Me and Matt made our way up to the tower, the entire of Hogwarts before our every eyes. The sky was raven black, grey smoking clouds moving across the blackness. Protective spells surrounded the sky like a dome, making us all feel somewhat safer.
