I realize that Melissa now looks emotional, so I decide to just end the stream.
" Thank you guys for showing up, I really do appreciate it! See ya!" I say quickly.
I leave the stream, " Melissa, is it true?"
" Yes," she says sadly.
" I- I'm sorry," my nose burned, I was trying to hold back tears.
" No, it's OK. I just need to go home," she grabs her bag.
" Will you be up for hanging out again?"
" For sure!" She smiles.
" Thanks for coming," I say.
" No problem, see you!"
" Wait! Please don't tell anyone the address," I beg.
" I won't," she promises.
Just like that, she leaves, and I sit on my bed in sadness.
I have no idea how long I'd been lost in my thoughts, but it had to have been a while.
I heard the front door open.
I just assumed it was Daniel.
" Christian?" I hear in silence.
" In here!" I call out.
" There you are! I was getting worried because it's so unlike you to leave the counter a- oh, what's wrong?" He walks in.
I just shake my head and look out the window, it was now dark.
" Oh my! What time is it?" I quickly get up.
" Uh nine thirty," Daniel says confused.
I had been sitting there for 3 hours!
I go to the kitchen and begin cleaning the mess Melissa and I made when we streamed.
Daniel sits on a chair at the counter, Christian come on, man. What happened?"
" Melissa's not going to make it," I mumble as I scrub the counter.
" Oh... I'm sorry."
" No, no it's fine. She accepted it, I should too."
" I hope everything turns out alright. I'm going to to take a shower."
I nod, " That's fine, but I need to talk to you and the guys tomorrow."
" OK, I'll let them know!"
