I could no longer take it anymore.
I had to leave.
How could someone lie that they are about to die, then take away someone's only privacy they have away from them?
I couldn't believe that I treated a horrible human as my family.
I turn and silently walk back to the car.
I sat in the driver's seat and ignored Melissa.
" Oh, so that's it? You're just going to leave? How weak?!" Melissa laughs.
" No! He's not weak! He has given you so much, he thought of you as a good friend! If you ever had a true good friend, then you'd know the pain you're putting him through, Melissa! So how about you use your heart! How about you go use the money to actually get a life!!" Daniel yells.
She looked a little shocked at the sudden outburst, but I didn't care.
I was hurt, hurt so bad it'd leave a scar.
Daniel storms off and gets into the passenger seat of the car.
" Can't believe you'd just do that. We could have helped you, but I guess using people is better," Jonah says in disappointment.
The other guys shake their heads disapprovingly as they all get into the car.
I smashed the gas pedal, not even taking a look back.
" You good, bro?" Daniel looks at me with concern.
I sigh and nod, " Is everyone fine with going to my parents house for a little bit?"
" No problem," they all reply.
I drive to their house and quickly get out.
I knock and wait impatiently.
" Well, hi guys. What's up?" Jeff answers the door.
" Dad, we got a problem," Daniel says.
I look to the side and see everyone else nodding, letting him know there really was something wrong.
Concern takes over Jeff's face and he nods, letting us in, " Let's talk."
