Daniel's POV ( SURPRISE!)
By now, everyone was outside watching the ocean and just chatting on the balcony with Christian.
" Hold up, I need to go use the bathroom," I excuse myself.
" OK, see you back tomorrow," Jack laughs.
" What? No it's not that! I got to pee!" I defend myself.
" Oh! OK!" They all say.
" Ya'll nasty!" I shake my head as I chuckle.
I open the door and I walk slowly to the bathroom.
I do my business and am about to leave when I hear Melissa talking.
" Yeah, but I can't do this for long, I have to leave eventually. Yeah, I know. No, I told them I'd be dead in a month. OK, bye."
" What the..." I mumble to myself as I lean back from the door.
I open the door, " Who was that, and what was it about?" I demand.
" What?!" She spins around.
" You heard me," I say, squinting my eyes at her.
" Nothing," she says innocently.
" Fine, I'll go tell Christian if it was "nothing"," I turn and make a break for it.
" No!" She yells, " You heard wrong!"
I made it to the door, flung it open, and tripped.
" Uh, what the..." Zach says.
" So, what's going on?" Christian asks.
" He heard me on the phone and took it the wrong way, and now he's trying to make me sound like I said something wrong," she explains quickly.
" Oh, was that right?" Christian asks, glancing at me.
I nod and once everyone else looks off to the distance I text Christian.
Me: We need to talk.
Christian: Figured, we need to make it not look suspicious.
Me: Leave it to me.
I stretch out, " I'm going to just go make dinner."
" OK," everyone responds.
" I'll go too, you'll need help," Christian says.
We go in without anyone seeming suspicious.
