Mistake

Chapter 22

Writing this chapter made me soft

The three of us walk out to the waiting room.

" I'm sorry about everything," the officer sighs.

" It's good, man. Thanks for your help," I shake his hand.

" That's what I'm here for, have a good day!"

" You too!" I call back as we leave.

" Wow," Daniel says.

" Did you guys hear everything?" I ask the 4 boys.

They shake their heads, " No, what happened?"

 We get into the car, " She tried to kill me," I say almost in disbelief.

 " What?!" 

" When we were on the balcony, you guys were inside getting ready for dinner, when she tried to kiss.... oh," I realized I hadn't told them that part yet.

 " Wait, wait, wait, she what?" Jonah asked.

 " She tried to kiss me, and she said that if I hadn't left so suddenly she was going to kill me," I look out the window.

 " Christian, that's awful!" Corbyn yells.

 I nod, " I don't want to see her again."

 " You want, and we'll make sure of that," Tyler promises.

 " Is it alright if I drop you guys off and my bothers and I go see our parents?" I turn to look at them.

 " Of course it's alright! Something scary happened, you need family time!" The guys say.

 I chuckle lightly, " Thanks, guys."

 " No problem," Jack says.

 We drop them off, and begin driving to our parents' house.

 " Are you good, bro?" Daniel asks from the passenger seat.

 " Yeah, it's just overwhelming," I say.

 " I know, it'll be alright, Christian," Daniel says.

 There was a song playing in the background, and it calmed me a little.

 I thought Melissa was a good person, someone I could trust, someone I could be friends with.

 I'm glad that nobody was hurt, and everything will go back to normal again.

 Well, as normal as it can.

 I pull up to my parents' house and knock.

 Jeff opens the door with a worried expression, I guess he saw the look on our faces.

 I go up to him and hug him, and cry.

 Releasing all of my emotions that had been bottled up.

 Releasing the betrayal.
