"At least I know you're in good hands."

"Mom!" Pabagsak na umupo ako sa swivel chair.

Hindi ako mapakali, is Olie jealous? why would she be? The last time I checked she doesn't care about it, hindi nga ito nag-re-react.

And I swear nothing happened between Freya and I, she just took a nap for fifteen minutes dahil may hangover ito then we need to rush para makapunta ng bahay bago pa kami maunahan ni Mom.

Nag-away kasi si Mom and Dad, she taught Dad cheated kaya pinapunta ni Daddy si Freya rito upang kuhanin ang original copy ng marriage certificate ng parents ko dahil uuwi si Mommy upang punitin iyon sa tindi ng galit niya. Ang petty mag-isip ni Dad! Ako naman nataranta pa.

I tilted my head, facing my mother's super calm demeanor, mukang hindi naman gagawin ni Mommy 'yon but I know she can, mana ako d'yan, eh.

What has blown my mind is Olie scheduling an appointment for Mom and I! Nahihibang na ba 'yun?

"Okay lang, she didn't know me."

"Hindi?"

"Yes, apparently."

Wow.

Mom checked on me, parang hindi talaga ito galit kay Dad kung kausapin niya ako.

"Anong pinag-aawayan niyo kanina?"

Lumingon ito sa desk ni Olie na sinundan ko naman. Olie is scrolling on her phone.

"She thought Freya and I did something."

"Freya flew back here?" Deep inside I panicked. Shit.

"Yes she uh, attended a business party last night." Sige ilusot mo kaya mo 'yan Rue, for your Dad!

"Wala nga ba?"

My eyes widen. Napahawak din ako sa dibdib ko, she's accusing me! I'm your daughter!

Mom laughed and took her words back, teasing me. Wala talaga akong ginawa rito kanina habang nandito si Freya, wala rin itong balak because she sensed there's something between me and Olie, kahit wala naman talaga, inasar pa nga ako nito kanina.

"Assurance wouldn't hurt Rue, kung mag-away kayo kanina tingin palang parang gusto ko na lumabas. Anyways, I'll go home now."

"Go home? Where?"

"To your father?"

"Oh, you're not mad at him?"

"No, I'm here for a meeting, he's just paranoid." Mom kissed and hug me.

Napailing nalang ako, she scared the hell out of Dad, that's for sure.

And Olie is scaring the hell out of me. She's avoiding me, mas gusto ko pa 'yung iniinis niya ako sa pagiging smart mouthed niya. Isang beses lang itong pumasok sa office ko for the rest of the day kaya no'ng nakauwi na ang lahat bukod sa amin ay lumabas na ako papunta sa desk niya.

"Where are we going to eat?" I asked.

"Up to you."

That's the first.

She always have a place in mind every dinner.

I just nodded at plano kong sa penthouse nalang. While driving napapatingin ako sa salamin. Hindi manlang niya binuksan ang aux.

I pushed my tongue to lick my lips. I just want to open the topic again to make this clear.

"Nothing happened inside my office earlier."
