The dark figure hammers it's hands against the empty void, screaming in frustration.

"LET ME IN!"

They let out several puffs of anger and pain, before turning around. The void around them suddenly melted away into a empty vast landscape, with a smooth layer of bedrock. The atmosphere was a misty velvet red.

There were a small distance away from two figures, one pulling themselves out of a block while the other was surveying the land.

The figure smiled, a thin red dust escaping from his fingertips like sand as it slowly piled up underneath.

This was good.

Very good.

The first thing George did when he met back up with Dream was to hit him.

Dream let out a faint wheeze before turning and looking over at their friend.

"Calll me Scooby, because I don't want to doo this anymore."

George scoffed.

"It was your own free will and choice to choose to come up here. Now what?"

Dream tilted his head and side stepped, glancing the space they had emerged from. Hoping... praying that no one else was going to follow them.

Still, they would have to play it safe.

"George you still got that extra obsidian with you?"

He could hear the distant taps emitting from the inventory bracelet around George's hand.

"Yea- ohhhhh!"

George whipped out the obsidian and started to build a portal while Dream kept watch.

Was that footsteps behind him?

Must've been George.

There was suddenly a push against his arm, and he felt himself being pulled in by a mysterious force.

His head whipped over, only to be met with nothing. An empty void holding his arm with a death right grip.

A small, chilling voice whispered in his ear suddenly, causing him to let out a small squeak in terror.

"You can't see them, but they've been watching us for a long time now."

The voice was chilling. It was 100% a males voice that seemed to slink in through Dreams ear and wrapped around his bones chilling him and sending terrified shivers down his spine.

He was met go and the sound of faint footsteps faded replaced by loud rapid one rushing towards him.

So when hand grabbed his shoulder, Dream couldn't help but flinch at the touch.

"George?"

Behind his clout glasses friend, he could see the shimmering waving purple portal, wavering and ready for their departure.

"Dream you-"

"Let's... lets get out of here."

George pulled Dream up and head up high, walked to the portal and with a deep breath, dove through.

They emerged right on the edge of a cliff.

It wasn't a bad spawn, it but scares them none the less.

Well, scared George. He almost walked right over the edge if he hadn't stopped himself from becoming a human pancake.

They were in the mountains, surrounded by grass, stone, snow and spruce trees. Dream had now taken off his golden helmet and threw it onto the ground, ash and soot falling out of it. He replaced it quickly with a silver one.

"Let's find a village." Dream said, turning in a slow circle. "Try and trade for the rest of the pearls then head to the bastion..."

George let his mind process those words, before shooting a questioning glance at him.

"Bastion? You want to go back into the nether?"

"..."

Dream let out a holy wheeze, clutching his stomach as he slightly bent over laughing. George couldn't help but join in.

"STRONGHOLD... I meant Stronghills... STRONGHOLD! Damn autocorrect..."

George laughed.

"We're speaking! You can't even blame any of this on auto correct."

Any previous tension or hate was left in the nether, and they care out much lighter and more happy on the other side.

Could you blame them?

They were best friends after all :).

{ How many of these can I fit into one chapter }

"There's a spawner down there Dream!"

Dream glanced up and over at George, who was looking down the other side of the ravine.

Making his way over, weaving his way through the thick dark oak trunks that were locked into the ground, he was careful to not tread too close to the edge of the ravine.

He peered down and sure enough, among a stream of lava and water, was the unmistakable box outline shape of a mossy overgrown spawner.

"Nice looking George!"

They used a nearby water stream to make their was swiftly down onto the mossy ledge. Dream gave a signal, and in sync they dropped down into the box.

There were two chests on opposite sides of the spawner, in which a zombie materialized out of thin air.

Dream dealt with it quickly, a simple axe chop to the face send the zombie spiralling back and was finished off with a shiny blade.

George opened a chest and started rummaging around when he heard a very audible gasp.

"Dream...?"

Behind his clout goggles, his ash dusted eyes widened as they were brought down on the thin metal disc held in Dreams hand.

Another compass.

"DREAM!"
