"Georgina?" A tall man who I can guess is in his forties comes out of a hospital room.

"Yes," My voice croaks.

"Your mother is awake, we will be keeping a close eye on her though," He states, to which I nod, grateful that she is getting the proper care and attention she needs.

"Can I see her?" The man nods, opening the door behind him and letting me in.

Going in to my mothers new private room, I see her laid on the bed which was placed near the center of the room, with the back against the wall.

"Georgie I'm so sorry," My mothers voice croaks.

"Ma it's not your fault, besides you're going to get better here," I smile giving her a light hug.

"You bet I am," She smirks.

We spend the rest of the night being glad that we are both in each others company and alive. Well that's before she demanded I go home and sleep.

Sleeping in a completely empty house was somehow worse. It was like my body said that I no longer have the problem or waking someone up. My nightmares got worse from there onwards. The near loss of my mother being the nearest I had been to be totally alone.

----------

The week went on with my mother staying in hospital, which made me feel happier as I knew she was in good hands. However I never did get a response from the vampire I still loved- maybe he got a new phone, or worse just truly never wanted to speak to me again.

I visited my Ma everyday after school in which she just lay in her hospital bed. I brought more and more things to try and not let her be too bored. It started off with different books, but has now ended up being Jigsaws, sewing, writing and more.

"Georgie," My mother starts, "It's your birthday next week," She cheers.

"That's ages away," I point out.

"Only seven days honey, and you will be all grown up," she looks as if she is going to cry, "Oh your father would have been so proud."

I head over to her giving her a hug, "Do you know what Jasper is getting you honey?" My ma asks. I decide that this is the time I should tell her about their parting, but before I can get a word in my mother keeps speaking, "Oh your dad would have loved him- he's so kind and loving honey. You know I'd be happy if you got married, in the future of course"

After that I decide to just leave it. That has been the most she had spoken about my father in a while, and she had only just gotten back to talking.

----------

"Your present for me is under the bed for tomorrow," My ma says smiling at me.

"Ahhhh I'll never see you aged seventeen again," She says.

"I'll still me the same person Ma," I laugh at her before kissing her and heading to the place we both called home.
