It was as if it was an reenactment of the first day me and Jasper first showed up together, by the way which people reacted at the sight of the Cullen's. Although they did disappear quickly and effortlessly, as if there was nothing to keep them at this small town also known as Forks. Despite being able to see why people see that Forks will always be a precious place to me, as so much happened in such a short period of time, though it was all life changing.
Jasper grabs my hand, bringing me out of my thoughts. I give him a small smile, though my mind was still hooked on if he ever planned to come back. If it wasn't for Bella, would the vampire family have even felt an urge to come back.
That thought remained with me for the rest of the day.
Without even realising my feet had walked to English. "I'll see you later," Jasper whispers, looking in my eyes as he does so, after softly pecking my lips he walks off in his normal dreamy way.
Being late to class is never fun, especially with the awkward situation of being the last one in. Quickly walking in with only a slight stumble, I see that Edward is sat in my usual seat- besides Bella. Totally ignoring that factor, I take the only free seat besides Mike.
"Hey Georgie," Mike smiles at me as I sit down.
"Hey," I say with a brief smile, not wanting to be mean to the boy.
The rest of the lesson went by in pretty much silence apart from the odd whisper from the recently got back together couple. While I spent the whole time trying to re rap my head around any subject but in this case English, which I have been trying to do since November.
The bell rang with a rush of kids packing up, while I continue to look over the paper we did last class. Hearing a sigh to the left of me, I turn to see the blonde boy who I had been sat next to for the past time.
"Listen Georgie," He hesitates, as if he's re thinking what he was going to say, "If you ever need any help with school, please let me know we're all here to help you."
"Thank you," I state with a smile, and within a second I am seeing his gray backpack leave through the door.
The rest of the lessons went by as normal, as if nothing had changed since November. It was only when it got to lunch that there was a reminder of the return of the vampire family.
"Hey," Jasper smiles at me, "You want me to get you anything?" His head turns nodding to the gloopy canteen food at the other end of the hall.
"No thanks," I reply looking the other way to the food. Jasper sighs an unnecessary sigh by the fact that he doesn't breathe.
"Come on then," He mutters taking my hand pulling me towards the table which Bella is already sitting at.
The time until the leaving bell goes off went by incredibly slowly. The previous thought on the Cullen's never once left my mind throughout the day. Jasper was waiting for me outside of Art like he promised at lunch.
"Hey," I mutter, as he takes my hand leading me to his car.
The car journey was in total silence except the quiet sounds from the radio.
"I've got to go and hunt," Jasper says while I'm getting out of the car. His hand strokes my cheek, "I'll see you tonight?" he questions, to which I nod to. After getting a questioning look from him, he drives off.
With Bella grounded and with her newly returned boyfriend, I was once again totally alone.
