The Unknown- Jasper Hale

New moon

The next couple of months went by quickly. Jasper was perfect, and we had no issues. His family still were my family. I spent the summer hanging out with friends, and creating unforgettable new memories with the vampires. Everything was perfect apart from my Ma's illness. Although we spent lots of happy times together throughout the summer she got more and more sick with her illness. Luckily she was coming to the end of her batch of chemotherapy and hopefully it can only go up from there.

The first week back at school was odd, but refreshing. We no longer had gym which made life a lot better for me and especially Bella. Although the dreaded subject of Math's was still happening for a while. 

Tomorrow is Bella's new least favorite day- her birthday. Alice has spent the whole time planning a surprise party for Bella, which I can only imagine will be a surprise but in the opposite way to which she was hoping for.

"One day till you know what!" Alice squeals as she sits down at the table in which all but Bella and Edward are sat at. Rosaline just rolls her eyes- her hatred for Bella only seems to be growing daily.

"I gathered you've all gotten gifts?" Alice continues to question, to which all but Rosaline nods.

"You'd be able to see if we hadn't," Jasper points out, getting a small rounds of laughs.

"Rosaline, I've wrapped one up for you," Alice kindly says to Rosaline.

"George what did you get Bella then?" Emmett asks me, knowing that Jasper would have no idea on what to buy.

"You will have to wait and see Em," I tease knowing that this will really annoy him,

"Urgh," He moans while placing his head in his hands pretending to be more annoyed than he actually is.

"Jeez, She will get it at school you can see then," I say before focusing back on the plate of chips which are in front of me.

Due to my Ma's illness I decided not to go to the party, as I don't like leaving her alone as it is. Luckily Alice didn't mind and just said that she would bring us both cake, and will take lots of photos on Bella's soon to be new camera. Besides Bella will be fine and I will see her at school anyway so I am not missing out on much.

"Happy Birthday Bella!" I cheer, before giving her a big hug, "Here this is from me and Jasper," I say handing her, her present and pointing at Jasper who's stood not far behind. He is fine with most blood but Bella's still makes him feel a bit unsteady.

Just then Alice jumps over the railings, "Happy Birthday Bella!" She yells.

"Shhhhh," Bella immediately responds with, while hugging the brown bobbed girl.

"It's a dress, and guess what you love it and are wearing it tonight!" She squeals. Before Bella can respond a drear of calmness reaches us, causing me to look back at Jasper.

Heading over to him, I whisper, "Is this your true lengths of persuasion," to which he grins back at.

"Hey Jasper," Bella calls- this is a very rare interaction between the two, "No far with the mood change,"

Jasper puts his arm around my shoulders, "See you later Bella," he says, "and Happy..." receiving an evil glare from Bella, "never mind,"  and with that we both walk off to our first lesson of History.

"I'll see you later G," Jasper says, before kissing my cheek lightly and driving off.

"Hello Ma," I call to see her in the sitting room.

"Hello!" She hugs me, "How was school? Ooh did Bella like her present?" She asks with the questions exploding out of her mouth.

"School was good. I haven't actually seen Bella open her present, but I'm guessing she will do later," I continue, "Want your favorite for dinner?" 

"Veggie lasagna yes!" She responds, "Two more months till you're eighteen!" She exclaims.

"Jeez I'm getting old," I laugh while starting to prepare the food.

"Yeah- Is that a gray hair I see," She continues to joke.

"You've got very good eye sight that can see through walls then," I laugh at the fact she's in the other room.

The rest of the night went by calmly although a certain vampire never visited that night.
