Jasper eventually moved to the sofa. My legs were over his. Both of us continuing to grip each other as if we were scared of the other one letting go.
Suddenly Jasper sits up as if he's had realisation. Carefully picking me up and placing me back onto the sofa as if he's leaving. What if he didn't want to stay.
"Where are you going?" I panic.
"I'm just getting something from the car G," he laughs, looking at my panicked look, "I'll be back in a second." He pecks my lips before being gone in a flash.
Sticking to his word he was back in a couple of seconds, with a dish in his hand. I follow him as he heads to the kitchen. "Esme made your favourite," He states taking off the cellophane which was placed on top of the lasagna.
"Oh," I replied with a smile. I haven't had lasagna for a long time.
"I think this is the temperature Esme said," He says, while messing with the knobs on the barley used oven.
"Tell her I said thank you," I smile, hopping onto the counter.
The vampire just turns around with a smile upon his face. "I will," He smirks, placing his forehead on mine. "Or you could come over and tell her yourself soon."
"Okay." I agree, pecking his lips. The ones that I had missed so much. With that he kisses back, completing our second make out session of the day.
The timer of the oven sounds, breaking us out. "It's ready," He smiles, as he states the blatantly obvious.
"Come on," He grabs my hand, having gotten out a lasagna and putting it on a plate in a un humanly possible time.
Being in an awkward situation of being watched, I slowly pick up the fork with determination. This time I'm going to do it, even if it's through force. My ma never would have wanted me to live like this.
And with that the food was all gone.
Jasper stays silent with a small smile, giving me a kiss on the forehead when completed. He picks up the now empty bowl to wash up. While I stay sat being proud of my achievement. Maybe now I have moved on. I can get on and live.
After a quick glance of the clock which shows 10pm, and seeing my reflection in the mirror below of my blotched eyes, I decide that now is the time to get ready for bed. After wiping off what was left of my make up off and shoving my hair into its classic messy bun. I put on some shorts with an over sized t-shirt before Jasper walks in.
To say it wasn't awkward would be a lie. The vampire seemed to be more interested in my wall than anything else, which became a mess of art which made no sense since he last saw it. The wall has paintings of memories, most scribbled out or written over- it was my brain for the past few months. The only painting which stayed perfect was on the bottom right of the wall, which was half hidden by the wooden desks side. As if he read my thoughts Jasper pushed away the desk which faced the window to the other side of the room. The imagine revealing the moment he left, which I painted the best to memory.
Not really wanting to see his reaction, I remained standing at the side of the room only taking small glances. He bends down, giving the painting a stroke with his cold fingers before placing the desk back to where it was.
I give him a small smile, before embracing the tall body into a tight hug, to which he hugs back giving me a small kiss on the head. This comfortably lasts a couple of minutes before my body decides to yawn.
"Come on, you need to sleep," Jasper says while picking me up bring me over to the bed.
Things are getting better I think, before drifting off into a deep sleep.
