The Next Day
Olivia Swift's Point of View
Dear diary,
I found out I was pregnant when I didn't get my period. When you miss your period, it's terrifying, especially if you've been...sexually active. I didn't think I was pregnant. I thought there was no way in hell I was. Apparently I was wrong. I took the test for reassurance; so I could know I wasn't pregnant. When I saw it was positive, I laughed then cried. I laughed because I was in shock. I was in shock because I felt like my mother. I never wanted to feel like her. One of the first things I thought was 'I'm screwed.' I imagine many people in my position felt like that.
Throughout the week, I became more accepting of it. I became less scared and it felt real. I knew I wanted to keep the baby when my mom ignored me. She played the piano and did her own thing. I learned in that entire week, I cared more about my child than my mom had in the entire year. I want to be the mother Taylor never was. I want to give all the love I have to something of my own. I was scared of being my mom, then I realized I'm nothing like her. I'm not terrified of being her anymore.
I didn't want to keep the baby because I was scared, but now I want to keep them because I have no fear. My whole life it feels like there's been an empty hole in my heart, this baby can help fix it. I want to raise this baby and I know the moment I meet him/her, I'll be happy. I'll know what to do because I know the mistakes my mom made. I'll give them the best life.

Sincerely,
Olivia Swift

I receive a text from Lucas and read it quickly.

'Meet me at the arcade in 15 minutes' Lucas texts me.

'Sounds good.' I reply to him. I have nothing else to do. I grab my purse and walk downstairs.

"I'm going to visit Lucas. Be back later." I slightly yell so my family can hear me. I take the car and drive to the arcade. I park my car on the side of the road and walk towards the entrance of the arcade. In the entrance I see Lucas standing with a bouquet of flowers. He's dressed nicely with his hair combed back. Almost close to wearing a tuxedo.

"I got you tulips because I knew they were your favorite." He explains to me.

"Thank you. What's up with being dressed to the nines?" I ask as I take the flowers.

"What? I can't dress up on a date with my girlfriend?"

"Oh, so this is a date?"

"Of course." He smiles and leads me throughout the arcade to the skeeball machine again.

"So we're playing skeeball again? You wanna get kicked out again?" I ask.

"Of course. It's our best game." He explains which makes me giggle. He inserts the token which makes all the balls roll down.

"Are we playing it your way?" I ask.

"Of course. My way is the best."

I roll a ball towards Lucas and he catches it and tosses it into the 100 point bullseye.  I keep tossing them to him and eventually, there's only one ball left.

"Wait, don't toss it yet." Lucas walks over to me so he's standing on my life.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Let's toss this one without doing it my way." He puts the ball in my hand and I grin.

"Are you ready for me to miserably fail? I'm really bad at skeeball when doing it the classic way."
