The ruckus Odette hears downstairs was Klaus crashing and breaking a table from having Hope using her magic on him per Klaus' request. Hope had her back to her dad as she held on to the staircase banister the whispers having returned.
"Do it again." Klaus orders standing up with blood pouring out of his healing wounds, "Harder this time. All of that pain, that simmering darkness. You need to purge it before it eats you alive."
"Dad..." Hope trails off clutching her head
"Give me your anger, Hope!" Klaus shouts making Hope shout back as she turns around and uses her magic to send her father to crash against a wall
Klaus leans back against the wall needing a breather and noticing Hope walks towards him, "It's not working."
"You're holding back," Klaus states making Hope furrow her brows
"You really think I want to feel this way? No matter how hard I try to get it out, I don't feel any better." Hope shouts in distress before in a lower voice admitting "You're not the one I want to hurt."
Klaus stands up knowing he would do anything for his daughter to feel better, "Give me a name."
Hope does exactly that, she gives her father the name of the one person she wanted to hurt. As he storms out of the compound with a mission at hand Odette was making her way downstairs seeing the courtyard a mess.
Odette looks around seeing Hope standing in the middle of the mess while on the second floor the twins were watching sitting eating candy as their feet hanging down the balcony, "What happened here?!"
The kids don't say anything, they don't even share a look. The three only looked at their mom who was waiting for an answer. Before the twins or Matthew give into their mother's look Hope speaks up, "It was me. The whispers are only quieted by violence, and dad allowed me to throw him around and hurt him"
Odette walks over to her daughter who was in distress, "Do the whispers hurt you?"
"I can't think, sleep or breathe" Hope lists off
"Where did your dad go?" Odette asks a part of her knowing half of the answer
"Hurting him wasn't working anymore..." Hope trails off not wanting to look at her mother
"Oh. I know I promised you to never hone in on your emotions but can you trust me enough to try to take the rage away?" Odette asks having practiced with being able to sense other emotions and sharing them but she'd never tried to do what she was proposing
Hope accepts she didn't want to harm anyone if she didn't have to and she wanted the whispers to leave. Odette leads Hope to the sofa that hadn't been damaged, telling her daughter to take her hands and close her eyes.
The twins take close attention but all they could see was their mom and sister holding hands with eyes closed. While Hope felt the whispers fade away, as for Odette she could feel the rage start filling her veins from the start of her fingertips until she could feel it get closer to her heart. When Odette felt that heat pouring closer into her heart she pulls away knowing that was all she could take.
