Odette played with her newest ring that rested on her ring finger. On the second day of being married Klaus presented her with a silver ring that wrapped around her finger five times. The silver ring had five different styled diamonds on each embellished wrap making it impossible to miss.

The kids were sleeping as it was night and Odette sat on the couch upstairs in the study. Elijah was in the room as well along with Marcel who was making them all drinks.

"It's been a long time since we've shared a drink together," Elijah tells Marcel taking the glass of alcohol Marcel was handing him

"You're gonna need it" Marcel replies taking a sip from his own glass

"Make mine extra, extra strong" Odette tells Marcel who listens and fills her glass with more alcohol

"I take it Davina didn't bring good news," Elijah states knowing that the witches in their family, at least those who knew of Hopes fate, had been searching for good news

"I take it Davina didn't bring good news," Elijah states knowing that the witches in their family, at least those who knew of Hopes fate, had been searching for good news

Marcel walks over to Odette handing her a drink and she immediately starts sipping it, "She and Freya have been holed up with spell books all week, searching for any last ideas to help Hope. They're out of options."

"I don't accept that," Elijah shakes his head all while Odette stares at the glass in her hand

"Look, I love that kid. It's because I love her that I'm telling you. There is no miracle fix here," Marcel informs them facing Elijah who stood before him while glancing over at Odette who sat on the couch not looking up from her hands, "Now, she might've had a little more time, but she's about to experience her first full moon since she triggered her curse. Every witch that we consulted is sure that she won't survive the night."

"Then we speak with Freya. She will perform a binding spell. That's the solution," Elijah wishfully thinks

"A spell that powerful would only kill her faster. This is terminal, Elijah. Now we can't keep this secret from her any longer. She needs to have the chance to say good-bye." Marcel calmly voices turning to look at Odette who held an empty glass and could feel them looking at her "And we both know who needs to tell her."

That night, just like most during that week, Klaus sat on a chair watching Hope sleep. Odette couldn't join him that night, she couldn't sit and watch the dark veins on her daughter's skin. Odette wanted to help but she knew that no matter what she told herself she couldn't take away her daughters pain and not being in the room took away the temptation in breaking her promise

Odette places her empty glass on the coffee table before her with force making the clink of glass meeting wood run throughout the quiet room, "He won't accept it, and neither will I. Not until I've thought of every possible solution to save my daughter's life"

Odette walks past the men not listening in to them continue speaking about the topic at hand which was her daughter's life.
