Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you doWhen a night starts with shots, you know it's gonna end up being a messy one. Even Harry was acting merry, laughing along with all of us and actually....smiling. Katie and Joe were all over each other as we got closer to the end of the night, leaving just Harry and I alone to talk.
"So, Petal." Harry says, as he moves closer to me, pulling me in closer with his arm around my back, his hand firmly on my waist. "How you feeling right now?" He says, leaning into my ear so that I can hear him over the music.
"Like I could do anything." I smile back at him. Harry slides out of the booth, grabbing my hand as he does. Katie and Joe don't even notice as she practically sits on his lap, whispering into one another's ears. I stumble after Harry, a feeling I'm getting very used to. He leads me up to his office, except he goes through a different door in the hallway and goes up more flights of stairs. "Harry, where are you taking me?" I laugh as I become out of breath going up the stairs. We finally reach a door at the top of the stairs, Harry pushes through it, bringing us out on to the rooftop of the club. I step out, being met with the skyline of New York City. Harry hangs behind to place a brick between the door and the frame, to stop it closing on us.
The sparkling lights from the skyscrapers, the moon lighting up the sky as we start to get closer and closer to sunrise. I feel speechless as I become mesmerised by the view.
"Wow." Is all I manage to say as I reach the edge of the roof, leaning on the wall in front of me. Harry slowly makes his way next to me, keeping his hands behind his back.
"Up you get then." He says, gesturing to the side of the roof. I spin round to look at him in shock. He can't be serious.
"Harry, what are you talking about?" I laugh, hoping he's just joking.
"You said you could do anything so..." he says with a straight face, I just laugh and shake my head in response. There's no way I'm doing that. I'm drunk and I could fall, he's insane. He then moves behind me, leaning down and wraps his arms around my waist before standing up so that my feet are off the ground.
"Harry! Put me down!" I scream, kicking my legs in hopes I can get out of his grip.
"I'll put you down once you get on that ledge. I've got you." He says, his mouth close to my ear. He speaks so gently that I stop panicking and give in. I take a deep breath before placing my feet on the ledge, Harry helps me stand up straight, keeping a firm grip on my waist. As I'm stood up straight, I finally take in the view. It somehow feels even more extraordinary from up here. My heart settles instantly once I see that New York skyline.
The lights just remind me of every single dream I had growing up. The dream of making it to the city, loving it large, owning my own club, or even my own franchise of clubs.
