With the help of Harper and Fox, we were able to organize the medical supplies and put everything back to their original place. Fox set the metal stools underneath the tables along with a small bin that held the extra cloths. Harper took a damp cloth and wiped down the counter, making sure there wasn't any dirt or grime. Fox lifted up the cushions of the seats and shook them as well. "All done," Fox called, walking back over to Harper and I. I set my hands on my hips and looked around the lower level one last time. "Everything looks good," I said, "Great job."
I looked at the radio again as I tried to contact that Ark again, I got no response. I sighed in frustration and got up from the table. I quickly pushed the stools underneath the far table, and pushed the containers into place. I took my jacket and tied it around my waist before leaving the ship. I hopped off of the ledge, looking around to see if anyone needed help. Bellamy and Clarke walked down one of the hills as they made their way towards me.
"Any word from the Ark?" Bellamy asked. I pursed my lips, shaking my head as a response. "Just radio silence," I said, "I've tried everything I can think of. Redoing the wires in the back, changing the wire from the walkie, rewiring the actual radio, and changing the frequencies. Nothing's working." Clarke and Bellamy nodded as I spoke. "You tried, that's all that matters," Clarke said, earning a smile from me. "I guest they're finally out of air," Bellamy said, crossing his arms. "Maybe Mom was lucky being on the Exodus ship," Clarke said.
She sighed and lowered her head, she lifted her head back up and looked at me. "At least it was quick. No one is coming down to save us," Clarke continued. I shook my head as I narrowed my eyebrows at her statement. "How do we even know she was on that ship?" I said, "There's no part of me that's going to believe that she's dead." Clarke replied with a small smile, Bellamy glanced up from the ground and looked at me. "I'll see you guys later, I've got to help with the food," I said, leaving them both.

Octavia tied a piece of meat to the wooden plank that sat on one of the walls. I stood up from the chair, handing her another piece. I grabbed my knife and started to cut more of the meat. We were lucky that we had enough food, part of me was worried we wouldn't get any. I handed a piece of meat to Murphy who handed it to Octavia. Del walked into the shack with a large load of wooden planks. "Let's get this party smoking," he said. I grabbed his arm and pulled him away from the fire. "Slow down hot head," I said, yanking the plank from him. "You don't want the fire too big, maybe try knocking it down with wet leaves," Octavia suggested. I stood up from the chair and tied some of the meat on the plank.
"You get that from your grounder boyfriend?" Del teased, "Grounder Pounder?" Octavia turned her head to Del, I scoffed and rolled my eyes at his tiny ass brain. "She's right, a hot fire is an excuse to be French toast," I said, "Except for you it might be burnt asshole." Del lunged at me, but was held back from Murphy. "If you can't take the heat, why don't you get out of the smokehouse," Del said. Octavia sighed, picking up another piece of meat. I grabbed my knife and started to cut some more. Del turned to look at Octavia and I with narrowed eyes. "Should be kissing our asses for being allowed back in this camp," Del continued, "Just keep going."
Del dropped the planks beside the fire, walking out of the shed. There was a short pause between the three of us. "Your brother couldn't get you a better job?" Murphy said, "Would think anything would be better than working in the meat furnace." He looked up at Octavia as she draped a rope over the top board. "Oh, probably that just means someone else would have to do it," Octavia said, looking at Murphy. I took out the last piece of meet and set it on top of the table for Murphy or Octavia to grab. I saw Murphy smile slightly before going back to his assignment.
