Bennett's POV
I knocked on the door and waited. It took a second but then came "Come in!". Taking a deep breath I turned the handle and walked in. I stopped short when I saw what she was wearing.
She wore a dark blue shirt that seemed to stick to her like a second skin and jeans that left nothing to my imagination..
"Bennett your staring." She snapped her fingers in front of my face.
I blinked and shook my head, "Yeah, sorry I just didn't expect.." I trailed off.
Her face scrunched up as she looked at me. She looked down and then looked back at me, "Is there something wrong with what I'm wearing?"
I blinked before slowly shaking my head, "No, it's just that I didn't think you would match your glasses to your shirt." Her usual black pair sat on her night stand while she had on a dark almost black, blue pair sitting on her nose. Plus it's a great excuse from me having to explain I was checking her out.
"Oh, I didn't think you'd notice." She smiled and pushed her glasses up by the corner. I realized it was a habit she did when she was nervous or embarrassed. It was cute.
I smiled and opened her door wider for her, "I did, now let's get going before Jordan comes up with an excuse for you to stay." She nodded and started walking past me but I grabbed her arm and whispered in her ear. "You look beautiful." I let her go and smirked when she just stood there.
I took her hand and started walking down stairs. We walked right outside since I already had the keys and nobody was there to bother us.
"Where were Jordan and Declan?" I glanced back at her.
"I put on a movie to distract them."
"Oh."
I paused and looked at her over my shoulder, "Why? Is there something wrong?"
She shook her head vigorously, "No there's nothing wrong, I just thought they would tell me goodbye."
"Oh," I looked ahead of us. "I'm sorry then." I started to walk forward but she tugged on my hand to keep me in place. I sighed and looked at her, "I just wanted to leave without any interruptions."
"Okay." I nodded and turned to open the car door for her. I closed the door after she got in and got in the driver's seat.
"Buckle up." I buckled and didn't start backing out until she buckled as well.
It was quiet in the car and all I could think about was that she might be upset I didn't let them say goodbye to her. "Bennett." I got deep in my thoughts and didn't hear her. "Bennett?"
I blinked and made a turn, "Naomi?"
I felt something on my thigh and glanced down before glancing sideways. She put her hand on my thigh.. well that's not gonna help me tonight. "I'm not mad." I glanced at her again and smiled slightly before letting my right hand land on her thigh.
"I know."
...
I pulled into a parking space and shut the car off. I got out and walked around the car to open Naomi's door, she was too busy looking around anyways.
"Bennett?" I hummed while getting the blanket and bag out of the trunk. "Why are we at a beach?"
"For stargazing, why?" I shut the trunk and handed her the blanket.
She took the blanket and looked at the beach, "Yeah but.." I took her hand and started leading her to the empty beach.
"But?" I looked at her from the corner of my eye.
