(A/N: So y'all know how most characters or couples have a theme song? Yeah, so, for me in this fic Stony's theme song would be the one above. It's from a show I watch but I listened to it a lot of the time for most Stony scenes I wrote :> )

"Steve didn't want to come?" Stephen asked, surprised.

"He wanted to come along but Fury sent him off on a mission" Tony explained.

"Alright" Stephen nodded. "Well, you know the drill, one tap and your there. Another tap and you're back. And as you know, I tested it myself, so it works. You're good to go"

Tony took a deep breath. A million butterflies were fluttering around inside him as he lifted his hand out and reached to touch the mirror.

Just like the first time, a bright light engulfed him, and he was gone. At first the impact made him a little dizzy. But once he opened his eyes, he wasn't in the art shop like he'd expected. It seemed as though he was in a room in the castle.

Tony was too shocked and excited to notice the box in front of the mirror, before he tripped on it. The guards immediately ran into the room and pointed swords at him.

"Halt! Explain yourself nobleman!" One of them shouted.

Nonetheless, everything went perfectly seeing as they said they would bring him to the kings presence to explain himself and have his punishment decided. They said he had three chances...either being thrown in jail, being beheaded, or being set free. Tony already knew what would happen with him.

Walking through those halls on the way to Steve's room made all Tony's memories there flash in his mind. He smiled to himself. It's not like he hadn't seen Steve lately. He has. Or at least, he's seen future Steve, so he wasn't going to be surprised to see King Steve right now. But what he was really excited for, was the reaction.

He considered the possibility of Steve and Bucky being in a relationship, and he wouldn't be surprised. He would just dispel the awkwardness by saying he just came back to say hi and see how things were going. He'd make a few jokes here and there. If that was the case, he'd stay the night and visit Mr. Hubble the next morning, and then spend a few hours at the beach again before going back to the future.

He had created a hundred different scenarios in his head about how everything could go. But since he knew he would always find a way out of everything, he assured himself all would be fine.

The fateful moment came where they arrived at Steve's room. The three knocks rang through the hallway. And a moment later, Steve called out for them to come in.

When they entered, he was standing by his desk, reading a map of some sort. He didn't look up once, even when the guards were explaining why they brought Tony to his presence. One of the guards pushed him forward and told him to explain himself.

Tony quietly cleared his throat. He couldn't help the excited grin on his face as he said "I, uh, came through a mirror actually. Believe it or not...your majesty"

Steve's head shot up, eyes wide. "Tony..." the map fell out of his hand. He told the guards to immediately get out. And as soon as the doors closed, he ran over to Tony, grabbed his face and kissed him like there was no tomorrow. Cause as far as he was concerned, there might not be a tomorrow with Tony. He knew now that nothing was guaranteed. "My god, I cannot believe you are here right now!"

He held Tony close and stuffed his face in Tony's neck. "Easy, tiger" Tony laughed, nearly being suffocated by how tight Steve was holding him.

"Are you really real?! Is this- Are you actually here in this moment? I'm not experiencing any hallucinations?" Steve asked, cupping Tony's face in both his hands.
