Chapter 5: What's Going on in the Pridelands?

Back in the Pridelands, everything was peaceful and going just well. While Simba and Nala are visiting Kion and Rani at the Tree of Life, Kiara and Kovu were in charge. In the Outlands, Janja's brother Ook is visiting, Janja is excited because he hasn't seen them in a while. Vitani's Guard are doing a very good job protecting the Pridelands from danger. Later, Kiara was talking to Kovu how things have been.

Kiara: Well, I gotta say, we do a pretty good job here. Don't we? 

Kovu: Yup. We sure do. 

Kiara: (Sigh) You know, things haven't been the same without Kion. I really miss. 

Kovu: I miss him too. 

Kiara: He and Rani make a good team. 

Kovu: I'll say. 

Vitani: Kiara! Kovu! 

Kiara: Vitani? 

Vitani: My Guard just spotted Korge and Maylio in the Pridelands. 

Kiara: Not again. 

Kovu: Those Cobras always cause trouble!

Vitani: We'll take care of them right now. Lion Guard! Let's go take care of those Cobras! 

Vitani's Lion Guard go take off to find those Cobras

Maylio: C'mon Korge! Let's go poison some animals. 

Korge: Why do you have to be in charge? 

Maylio: Because I'm the oldest! And stripy. 

Korge: Why am I not stripy? 

Maylio: I don't know. Maybe because your ugly! But let's focus! We are gonna destroy the Pridelands. 

Shabaha: I don't think so! 

Maylio: Great! It's the Lion Guard. You know, I could really use a challenge. 

Vitani: Get out of the Pridelands Cobra! 

Maylio: Well, let's make that a challenge! 

Vitani and her Lion Guard fight the Cobra's. Maylio tries to bite one of her members but she was stopped. Then they retreated

Vitani: What do you guys think? 

Kasi: They need to stay out of the Pridelands. 

Shabaha: Agreed. 

Vitani: C'mon, let's go. 

In the Outlands, Ook was coming in and Janja welcomed him with a big hug

Janja: Good to see you again, little rother. 

Ook: You too big bro. 

Jasiri comes to meet Janja's younger brother

Jasiri: Ook, right. 

Ook: You must Jasiri. Janja has told me so much about you. 

Jasiri: And he told me about you. Man, it must be awesome having Janja as your older brother? 

Ook: Yeah, he's so fun. 

Jasiri: Really? 

Janja: Yeah, we use to sneek out of the Pridelands looking for food.

Ook: Yeah, until our older sister died. 

Janja: Yeah, she was awesome. 

Jasiri: Oh, I'm so sorry. I would imagine if I lost my sister. 

Janja: (Sigh) Our Sister lead a hyena clan before I did. But after her death, she wanted me to lead the clan. But now your our leader. 

Jasiri: (Blushes) Yeah... 

Cheezi: Hey Janja, is Ook here? 

Janja: Yes, he's right here. 

Ook: Cheezi! Chungu! My old friends! 

Chungu: We missed you! 

Ook: I've missed you too. 

Ook hugs them

Janja: Ook really had a good fun with them when we were young. 

Ook: I sure did. 

Jasiri: So, what's your sister's name. 

Janja: I don't like talking about it. 

Jasiri: Oh... okay, I understand. 

Later, back at Pride Rock. Kiara and Kovu were getting ready to go to sleep after a long day. 

Kiara: You know, it's been a long day. 

Kovu: Yup. Man, it's been a week since Simba and Nala were at the Tree of Life. 

Kiara: I hope they're okay. 

Kovu: (Coughs)

Kiara: Kovu, are you okay? 

Kovu: I'm fine. 

Kiara: Wow, your head feels warm. 

Kovu: It does? 

Kiara shakes her head In the Tree of Life, Simba and Nala were getting ready to leave. Kion came to say goodbye to them

Kion: See you 2 again soon. 

Simba: You too Son. 

Kion hugs his parents

Nala: Keep Kion safe, okay. 

Rani: I will. Be careful. 

Kion: Tell Kiara I said hi. 

Simba: We will. Let us know when Rani gets pregnant (jokingly).

Kion: Alright, Get out. (He laughs a little)

Simba: Alright, alright. C'mon Nala, let's go. 

Simba and Nala return home

Rani: Man, your father is so funny. 

Kion: Yeah, he is.
