Moxxie

The light from the bedside table lamp shines a light glow over the room, it was just after midnight, I felt Rage's fingers run up and down my arm as we lay in bed. I looked up at him, I could sense something was on his mind. "Twitch found something, didn't he?" I asked him, he snapped his eyes to mine.

"You're not going to like it," he tells me, I shrugged my shoulders. "Phil was married a few years ago but his wife went missing. Twitch called his wife's family wanting to find more information about him, turns out he used to beat her, starve her and wouldn't let her see her family." As he spoke I could see his eyes become dark and angry. "We think he might have paid off the police and reporters about the case to keep it quiet, to make it go away" he continued on but I sat up, taking the sheet off me as I grabbed a shirt that was on the floor, I pulled it on my naked body and stood up. Rage watched as I paced around the room.

"Moxxie…" he called out, but I was biting my thumbnail.

"What if he did that to Bear… what if I was his next… what if he goes after Redd or my family..." I said to Rage, he stood up wrapping the sheet around his waist.

"He won't hurt you," he says, grabbing my face in his hands, I closed my eyes at his touch. "You're safe here" he whispers to me. "You don't need to worry"

"It's hard not too"

"I know baby, a prospect is following Red while your parents are being watched by another," he tells me, I let my head fall against his chest. All this information was making me exhausted. I sighed as he grabs my hand and brings me back over to the bed, he takes a seat on the edge and pulls me on to his lap. "You're my old lady and I will kill to keep you safe"

"But you will end up getting caught" I mumbled as I lay my hands on his bare shoulders, he shook his head.

"I'm not worried about me, I'm worried about you and keeping you safe" I sighed once again, I nodded my head knowing that I wouldn't win against Rage. "I know my shirt looks really good on you but did I say you could get dressed?" He raised an eyebrow, I smirked as I reached down slowly pulling off.

I watched as Mel's son tries to throw his basketball into the hoop but the little guy missed. I could see he was getting mad, he tried again and missed. He groaned and threw it behind him before walking over to the doors of the clubhouse. Some of the guys had gone out for club business, so I had been sitting with the girls since Rage was one of them. Mel sighed shaking her head when she saw her son walk away. "He just needs to practice more, he will get it," I tell her.

"Yeah just like you did," Zelda says.

"You used to play?" Mel asked before I could say anything Zelda was already telling her I could have gone pro. Mel smirked as she stood up, walking across the lot, grabbing her son's ball and walking over "I used to play while in prison, let's go, miss pro" she laughs, throwing me the ball.

"Ah shit" Zelda smirks, I stood up and bounced the ball a few times before spinning it on my rude finger. It was like I knew how to handle the ball as soon as I touched it. I bounced it between my legs as I walked over to her.

"Are you sure?" I asked her, she took off her Nike shirt, throwing it away leaving her in her sports bra. I threw her the ball, she caught it with ease before throwing it back. I grabbed it and threw it right into the net without even blinking.

"Alright, alright you got skills" she chuckles after she got the ball back. It didn't take long before I got the ball back again, and threw it into the net again. Over and over I wore Mel out, running circles around her.

"What are they doing?" I heard Hawk ask from the sidelines. "Since when did Moxxie play?"

"Ah since primary school" I heard Zelda say. I threw it over Mel's head towards the backboard as it hit it and ran, jumping into the air, catching the ball and slammed dunked it into the net. I swung from the net before I landed on my feet. "And that's why she should have gone fucking pro!" Zelda hollered from across the lot.

"Why didn't you?" Twitch asked when I walked over to the group.

"Tore ACL in my knee in my final game in high school but I kept playing against the pain telling myself it was nothing but I did more damage doing that, I had to have surgery on it" I pulled my legging pants up on my right leg, showing the scar. "Ended my career"

"She had scouts giving her scholarships with the first few minutes of them watching her but when she had her injury they knew she couldn't be what they were looking for anymore," Zelda says, I stayed quiet as I remember the memories, Zelda wrapped her arm around my shoulders.

After a while, I had spoken to my mother telling her that I was okay and still at the clubhouse. I was sitting with Mel and Mute I heard my phone ding with a message when I looked at it. It was a photo of me and Rage in his dorm the other night. I was dropping the shirt onto the floor, you could see us from the side so nothing was really showing but you could tell someone had taken a photo from a distance as it was blurry.

Whoever it was, knew I was here and I didn't feel safe anymore.

"What's wrong?" Mel asked, "you have gone pale," she says, she stands up and walks over to me but as soon as she saw it she called out "Hawk!"

"Yeah?" Hawk was standing near the bar.

"He's sending her photos! Look!" Mel takes my phone to show him and when she does he looks pissed, he took my phone and gave it to Twitch. I wrapped my arms around myself, feeling like someone was watching me and I couldn't shake the feeling. I was shaking in fear as my heart pumped fast before I knew it, I was crying silently into my knees as I hugged my legs.
