sugawara pov:

I sit down in the usual spot with Daichi, just waiting for Asahi to come eat lunch with us as well. 

" so, what do you think of y/n?" Daichi asks.

" I don't know, she seems nice. And she's pretty." I say.

" You were totally flustered when she came by"

" Huh? No I wasn't?"

" You were staring at her as she walked away"

" Was I? I didn't even notice" I mumble. He laughs at me quietly. 

" Hey guys" I hear Asahi's voice say. I look over and see Asahi also brought Y/n along. She smiles at me, making my face heat up a little from her sweet look. She sits down beside me and begins talking to us. When all of us are in conversation, I can't find any words to say. I wouldn't usually label myself as the quiet type so this is odd. 

" Yeah Asahi has been so nice this whole time, I'm so grateful! You've been really nice as well, Daichi and Suga!" She says. I look over at them and see that they're both blushing a little bit. Do they both like her? Or is it a lack of female attention thats making them act like this? I doubt it, Daichi is friends with the entire girls volleyball team. He gets plenty of attention from girls. I don't know about Asahi though, most people are scared of him so for a girl to be so nice to him, he's probably super happy about her. 

" Suga you've been quiet, is someone flustered again?" Daichi asks, whispering into my ear.

" You were literally blushing like 5 seconds ago" I respond, his eyes widen and he quickly looks away from embarrassment. Y/n gets up to go throw her trash away. 

" So, what's up with you two blushing over her?" I ask Daichi and Asahi.

" What's up with YOU being so quiet when she's around" Daichi returns the embarrassing call out, making sure to emphasize the 'you'. 

" Nothing." I say quickly. They all look at me, unconvinced of my answer but they cut it out as soon as she comes back.

" You guys have volleyball practice right next?" She asks us. We all nod our heads.

" Can I come watch?" 

" Yeah of course!" Daichi says. She smiles and we all get up and begin to walk her to the gym.

" I like your hair!" She says to one of us. I expected her to be talking to Asahi but when I look over, she's looking up at my hair instead.

" Me?" I ask, Not wanting to sound like an idiot if she really was talking to Asahi.

" Mhm!" She hums a confirmation.

" Oh uh.. thanks" I sheepishly say. Why the hell am I so nervous right now?

" Would it be alright if I touched it? It just seems so soft!" She asks. I nod my head and she reaches her hand out, running her fingers through my hair.

" It really is soft, I love it!" She says. I softly smile at her, leading us all to an awkward silence.

" He's usually not this shy and awkward, I don't know what got into him today" Daichi says. I glare at him for pointing out how different I'm acting compared to my usual self.

" Well we might hang out more, then I'd see his true personality!" Y/n says

" You can hang out with us whenever you'd like to" Asahi says. She brightly smiles at all of us.

" Thank you!" She says. We reach the gym and Asahi holds the door open for her. Of course he's doing everything to get her to like him. Or maybe he actually is just being nice? I can't tell. He's naturally nice so for him to be extra nice to a girl he's into, it would probably mean literally licking her shoes. I don't want to put the image of that in my head so I'm gonna let my mind stop running wild like that. As soon she walks in, everyone else's heads turn towards her. I feel bad, She's going to be so tired out by these guys.
