Gerard never contacted Frank again. But, Frank was always in the back of his head. Questions. Why did he leave? Why didn't he say anything? Was it Gerard's fault? Why did Frank block him? Should Gerard drop out and try to find Frank? Is it even worth staying loyal to Frank even though Frank left him? How did Gerard not see the signs sooner? What is Frank doing now? Gerard just wanted to see the punk boy one last time.
Gerard graduated. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. He was proud. When Gerard stepped on the stage to recieve his award, he looked out into the crowd. He saw someone. Someone so familar, but so unrecognizable. Gerard recognized the stranger's eyes. They were looking right back at Gerard.
Gerard smiled at the crowd and walked off stage with his degree. He walked back to his empty seat. He turned around to look for the boy, but he was gone. Gerard sighed and faced forward.
