It wasn't any secret to Roman that  the resident emo and nerd were together. Well it wasn't a secret to anyone. The two were openly gay and in an open relationship. Surprisingly nothing bad has happened. It could be because Logan's moms were the two best lawyers in the state. Or that Virgil's dad knows the principle. Either way they aren't messed with. How Roman knows this? Simple the two are his best friends.

Logan and Virgil walk hand in hand to class. They see this new kid with amazing hair. The person turns around and says "Greetings!. I'm a bit tired this morning but good nonetheless. How are you?" 'I never noticed Roman's hair. It falls in the right places and is slightly auburn giving it depth.' Both Logan and Virgil think. Then they force themselves to get out of be their thoughts. "I'm am feeling adequate." Is Logan's response and Virgil just nods in agreement.

The second time this happened they were baking cookies with Patton. Logan's eyes met Roman's and he found himself looking in. The emerald eyes sparking back at his own smooth chocolate ones.

Virgil sees Roman's smile and almost finds instant joy. It brightened the whole room up. 'I can't like Roman that would be ridiculous. But what if I do? I mean it wouldn't be the worst thing to happen. I probably shouldn't think into this as much as I am doing now..' Virgil just continues to look,

About a week later
Virgil and Logan were going into a gay panic. "We like him!" "Could it be too early to know?" "His smile!" "His eyes are quite attractive." "His hair" They both say the last one at the same time. "We could ask him?" Logan suggests "What if he doesn't like us back?" Virgil voices the concerns in his head "Then we continue on as friends and feelings are supposed to change." Logan comforts. "I suppose you're right. Should we go talk to him?" Virgil asks a bit nervously. "Yes  that would be adequate."

Place skip
Logan nervously knocks on the door. Someone who looks like Roman's mom answers. "Salutations. We'd like to speak with Roman." Logan says voice reverting back to a  cold due to nerves. "He's not usually like that" Virgil adds when he notices the mom's expression. "Ok he's in his room." The mom still looks skeptical but let's them in.

The two knock on Ro's door. Roman answers it "Hi guys!" "Hello Roman we'd like to talk" Logan begins "About what?" Roman asks. "You might want to sit down." Virgil half sarcastically remarks but Roman sits in a bean bag chair anyways. Virgil and Logan look at each other and nod before Virgil speaks"Roman we like you. And want you to be our boyfriend."

Roman POV

"I.." I remember him. The party. The bed. The-the. I try not think about it "I can't." "Why not?" It's Logan "I-I just can't." "Just tell us why Roman." Virgil. "No." All of a sudden Remus is in my room. "Leave." He states "Remus-" Logan starts "Go." Remus is more aggressive. The two reluctantly walk out. I'm not paying attention anymore the memories are coming back.

Him. The party. The bed. His smirk. His anger. The hits. Those yellow gloves. Bright yellow gloves. Bright yellow gloves that leave bruises. Those bright yellow gloves and how they never come off. Bright yellow gloves and only one yellow eye. Yellow gloves that held my face too hard. Yellow eye mine were forced to look in.  As he gave poisonous kisses. Yellow gloves forcing me-

Remus is talking. "Ro breathe. Copy me." I do I follow his breathing until mine's calmed. "I like them Remus but what if they're like him." Remus thinks for a while " Well we could call Patton? He's friends with them and you and he doesn't lie. Also I think he and Logan dated for a bit in middle school.." "Yeah." I agree and it's a silent knowing that Remus would be asking the questions while I listen.

Time skip

Talking to Patton cleared all my doubts. I'm going to ask if they're still interested.I'm always going to be skeptical about this or at least for awhile.  I dial Logan's number that we got from Patton. "Logan? It's Roman. I'd like to be your and Virgil's boyfriend. I'm sorry for rejecting you at first but I was caught surprised." "It's quite alright Roman. Virgil is with me now so he already knows." Logan is thankfully calm. "I'll see you at school then. Bye." I hang up. "I hope I can do this."

Two weeks, 6 days,  5 hours, 35 minutes, and 30 seconds later.

Today is really fun so far. Virgil and Logan took me to an amusement park. We confirmed boundaries and Logan even won me a sword because he knew some math thingy that helped him win a game! I'm currently walking with Virgil and Lo to the hotel pool.

Afterwards we play a movie. I feel safe. Unusually safe. Deciding something I get up and sit in the middle of Virgil and
Logan's cuddling. They separate and make room for me. "Can I out my arm around you?" They both ask. I hesitate before nodding.

I could stay here forever.

This took too long! It was just far out of my comfort zone. I'm happy and proud I could get it done nonetheless!! Hope you liked it!!
