"Ayo, my brother's getting married today! Come on, Jan-Jan, finish burying the stinking body so we can get our suits in time!" Remus said, rather loudly. Janus turned to him and scowled, purposefully beginning to shovel dirt into the hole slower. Remus stuck out his tongue at him and Janus rolled his eyes, going back to his normal pace.
"Remind me again why we had to kill John on the day of Patton's wedding?" Janus asked, leaning against his shovel, yawning. Remus was standing over the unmarked grave, packing down the dirt with his feet. After he was done, he walked over to Janus and picked him up, bridal-style, whistling cheerfully over the assassin's protests.
"We had to kill him 'cus headquarters was gonna be pissed if we didn't, and they wouldn't let me reschedule, even when I told them that Patton was getting married to Ro-Ro!" Remus explained, for the fifth time that week. He kept whistling, unaware that the assassin he held had fallen asleep, soothed by the rhythmic motions Remus was making. Janus woke up by a sudden jolt, which had been caused by his partner setting him down while he went to take a quick shower.
"I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've known you to take a shower willingly!" Janus called out loudly, making Remus let out a barking laugh. The assassin smiled and reached for a pack of cigarettes, only to be stopped by a familiarly pale hand. Janus followed his gaze until it came to rest on a sleep-deprived, cat-like male's face, which was currently twisted into a scowl.
"You told me you stopped, Janus. Don't go back on your word." Virgil growled and Janus rolled his eyes. He let out a scoff and Virgil removed his hand, still scowling, his eyebags darker than they had been the last time Janus had seen him.
"Cigarettes are the least of my sins, Virgil," Janus said quietly, reaching for one and lighting it without hesitation. "One addiction at a time, okay?" He said, the cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth, and Virgil watched in disgust as he blew a smoke ring.
"Alright, Double D, it's your turn~!" Remus said, waltzing out of the bathroom in his dark green tux. He stopped in front of the pair, smirking smugly when Janus promptly got up and headed to the bathroom. Remus planted a quick kiss on his lips and Janus simply continued, unbothered by this sudden show of affection. Virgil, however, raised an eyebrow, curious.
"We've been married for two years, Virgin, don't look so surprised," Remus said and cackled, while Virgil's eyes widened impossibly wide. One could barely hear quiet sniggers coming from the bathroom, courtesy of Janus.
