"Remy, I'm not even on the fucking market!" Virgil half-growled, half-whined, and his best friend simply raised an eyebrow above his dark sunglasses. He took a sip from his coffee and continued to stare at Virgil, knowing his self-preserving friend would back down sooner or later. Slytherins were fickle like that.

"Honey, I ain't asking you to marry him! Hell, I'm not even asking you to date him. But what I am asking you, as your older bestie who knows what's best for you, is to get a piece of that man!" Remy responded snarkily and Virgil groaned, slouching down further in his plastic chair. He avoided glancing in the direction of the subject of their conversation, one Roman Prince. He was a hot boy who had a habit of coming into the library at Hogwarts, where Virgil tended to spend his time.

"No," Virgil pouted, crossing his arms with a childish huff. "I'm not going within a five-foot radius of him, I'll get all red and I'll stumble over my words and straight-up make a fool of myself!" Remy simply rolled his eyes at that, taking another drink of his coffee. The pair were currently at one of the desks attached to the sides of the library, whilst Roman was browsing a section of books, alone for once. His posse of fangirls and his two sidekicks, the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, weren't with him surprisingly.

Roman Prince was exactly that, the Prince of Gryffindor. He had auburn hair that looked like he just rolled out of bed each morning, but in a hot way, along with striking brown eyes and a nice jawline. His skin was fairly tan, rivalling his twin brother, Remus's, which was as pale as milk. Roman's legacy rivaled Harry Potter's in Hogwarts, even though Roman had never killed an evil dark lord. All Roman had done was match, perhaps even surpass, Harry's skill as a Seeker in Quidditch.

Meanwhile, Virgil Malfoy was a simple Slytherin loner. He only hung out with three people, but for some reason, everyone in Slytherin seemed to respect him. He assumed it was because of his father, Draco Malfoy, even though Vigril himself resembled his mother more than anyone. He had black hair and silver eyes, pale skin, and almost delicate-looking features. Maybe he resembled Draco more than he thought... He lived with only his father (his mother had been a cheating bitch), so perhaps Draco's mannerisms had rubbed off on him a lot more than he really thought they did.

Either way, it is very very clear that he and I have no business being friends, let alone anything more than that, Virgil thought confidently to himself, lost in his thoughts. Remy snapped a finger in front of his face, causing the Slytherin to startle out of his thoughts.

"Your Prince Charming is coming over here, get ready~" Remy said in a teasing tone and then promptly pretended to be super immersed in whatever book was laying open in front of him. "Remy, what the fu---" Virgil hissed, looking like he was ready to rip his hair out, when a smooth voice interrupted.

"Um, hello, I'm Roman... Roman Prince." Roman introduced himself, letting his gaze linger over the black-haired boy who'd captured his affections for maybe just a little too long. Virgil couldn't help but snort, and he reached up a hand to run it through his artfully messy black hair.

"I know very well who you are, Princey. Prince of Gryffindor and all that garbage," Virgil sneered, the Malfoy coming through in him. He couldn't help it, he'd panicked and his body had gone with fight not flight. Roman's eyes widened a little and Virgil allowed a satisfied smirk to cross his lips before frowning again. "What did you need again?" Virgil asked, if a little impatiently and Remy kicked him under the table.

"Jeez, sorry, I didn't know a creepy cookie like you had such a busy schedule that you couldn't waste five minutes of your time with me." Roman snapped back, never one to back down, and Virgil raised an eyebrow. Roman sighed. "Look, let's just start over. Sorry for snapping at you, I just wanted some help finding a book I'm looking for, and well... I see you in here all the time, so I figured maybe you'd know where it was." Roman got out and Virgil looked momentarily surprised. Yeah, it definitely wasn't because I thought you were cute and this was the only way I could think of where I wouldn't look like a giant fool to get close to you, Roman snorted at his thoughts.

"...I'm sorry too," Virgil said quietly and it was Roman's turn to be surprised. "What? You, Slytherin, apologizing to me, the quote unquote Prince of Gryffindor?~ I think my ears must not be working right." Roman teased and Virgil rolled his eyes, flushing red.

"Sh-Shut up, Princey!" Virgil snapped, but there was no real heat to his words. All Roman did was smile charmingly at him and Virgil stood with a long-suffering sigh. "Alright, let's go get this damn book you were talking about..."

Little did either of the boys know, this was the start to a heartfelt (if a little rocky at times) friendship and eventual relationship. Patton and Logan, however, figured it out as soon as Roman came back gushing about how he'd finally spoken to the raven-haired beauty of the library. And Janus and Remy figured it out when Virgil had a complete breakdown over it, mostly gay panicking.
