Okay, so maybe Virgil did have a Tumblr account. And maybe all he posted was cheesy (super, super cheesy) story starters and prompts. Perhaps he also had a different Tumblr account where he wrote romantic headcannons for his favorite ships. And maaaayyyybbeee he also had an ao3 account where he actually wrote super cheesy romantic love stories that only ended in happy endings.

But all it was, was a way for him to release his anxiety. Especially in the romantic department, given that he was 95% sure that he wasn't ever going to get anyone to love him. So instead of having panic attacks daily, he wrote about what he'd want. Not necessarily just what he would want, but what he found romantic, what he thought was cute and adorable. Even if it was super cheesy.

Virgil had certainly never met for anyone to read them. He definitely hadn't planned on getting super popular on those sites, so popular that one of his best friends had accidentally found it... Said best friend, Roman, had no idea that Virgil ran the accounts, but could not stop gushing about the stories and stuff. Which would be great and all, if Virgil didn't also have a massive crush on Roman. All of his love interests resembled Roman in some way, whether it was physically or personality-wise, and the anxiety-riddled teen was terrified of Roman somehow connecting the dots and being disgusted.

"Virgil! Virge, Virge, Virgeeeee!" Roman repeated insistently and Virgil finally snapped out of his thoughts. He took off his headphones and turned his gaze to the auburn-haired teen, who just so happened to look magical at the moment... Roman was framed by the sun, the sweet smell of flowers drifting by. Virgil could almost hear the angels singing... And that was something right out of the romantic bullshit he wrote. Which is exactly why he was still writing.

"What do you need, Ro?" Virgil asked, yawning, stretching out like a cat. He was sitting on a picnic table, on the side that was covered in shade, unlike Roman's side. Roman smiled softly at him and was nearly overcome with the urge to kiss him. He knew his anxious best friend would most likely have a panic attack if he were to do that randomly, so he held back.

"I know your secret~" Roman said in a teasing tone and Virgil immediately paled. Well, more so than he was typically. The princely boy smiled softly at him and scooted closer.

"You left your book at my house, I swear I didn't know it was a diary... But I can't believe you let all this time pass without telling me you were the author of the fanfiction I love so much!" Roman cried out dramatically, mock-offended. Virgil huffed a sigh of relief and forced a laugh, smiling at Roman with ease.

"Sorry Roman, I just didn't know how to tell you." Virgil apologized and Roman slung an arm around his shoulders. "It's okay, Virge! I'm just teasing you, stormcloud." Roman said, cursing himself out internally when he realized he slipped up. Virgil froze, his cheeks flushing scarlet.

"And I can't believe you didn't tell me sooner that you had a crush on me... And before you panic! I like you back. A lot actually." Roman admitted, his own cheeks blushing profusely. Virgil stared at him in shock. Roman leaned forward until their lips connected softly, gently. It was a moment right out of one of Virgil's fanfictions. Absolute perfection.
