I took some deeps breaths, inhaling Angel's lavender perfume. After a minute, I pulled back and smiled up gratefully.
"Well, now we can be the Misfit Duo. Tell everyone to fuck themselves- although there are probably some people in that school that would..." I told Angel. She laughed, but I was serious.*Cough cough* Adam *cough cough*. Speaking of, our stuff was outside, and I wasn't sure if Adam was still banging that one girl or what. He might have stolen the laptop, although it was password protected. I decided to risk my innocence and walk back outside.
The sounds had stopped, thank God, and I wiped imaginary sweat away from my head. Waving Angel out, we sat on the couch and put the computer on the table, scooped up the food, and set it between us on the couch. I pulled up a chair to rest my feet on, and Angel did the same. I grinned as I selected Spirit. I frickin' loved that movie. And anyone who didn't could kill themselves.
Well, that was a bit harsh, but that is, and will be, my favorite movie for the rest of eternity. Closely followed by Malifecent. Dem be good movies!
"Really?" Angel asked. I was prepared for any arguments she might have agains watching this movie. Then came the surprise bomb. "I love this movie too!"
I squealed with delight. Finally, someone else who knew this was the best. Movie. Ever. I grinned at her, and paused the movie. We started fangirling over every little thing in the movie. I enjoyed the part where Spirit's kickin' ass and taking names (aka the scene where he bucks a lot and keeps all the US soldiers off his back) whereas Angel liked the part where Spirit leapt off the edge of the canyon and practically flew to the other side. She thought it symbolized blind leaps of faith, but I shut her up, asking her not to overthink one of the best movies in the whole world. I asked if she liked Star Wars as well, and she did. We were a lot more alike than I thought.
And then someone had to come out and ruin our mood. "I told you before, I could get into groups."
Angel shot me a dark look. "You never told me he was your next door neighbor," she hissed. I paid little to no attention to her, shooting Adam a glare that should have killed him.
"What are you doing up? And alive?" My inner Grumpy Cat was coming out. I swear, it's like she's my spirit animal or something. If she was a panther or tiger or something. Taking a deep breath, I slowly let it out and counted to ten, closing my eyes.
"What-why is he out here? Is this some girl's house, and he's banging her right now or something?" she asked, and I looked at her, confused. She took one look at me and started laughing darkly.
I felt the need to try to explain my feelings. But I never got the chance. "You-ay ike-lay dam-ay. A ot-lay." Adam's look of cunfuzzlement was totally worth the weirdness that came out of her mouth. Then I understood, and immediately became indignant.
"I most certainly do not!" I exclaimed. Adam shook his head and walked back into his room. Right then, I really wished Trevor was the only one next door to me, and Adam had never happened. "And that's extremely gross! Do you know what kinds of diseases he might have?! Lots! And not to mention herpes, bacteria, Hepatitus B, and warts you could get from him!" At her look of surprise, I continued. "Yes, warts! Warts in your mouth! Do you know how extremely gross those would be?"
A voice floated out from Adam's window. "I don't have warts, princess. Although you're welcome to check." I could just imagine him winking at me, and all those images came running back into my head. I fell to the floor, clutching my head.
He walked closer and closer, and I could hear his footsteps. Like what? Kissing him? He didn't need to strap me down for that. I wonder what he meant...
