(A/N - Last chance to back out. DO NOT proceed if you can't handle very MATURE scenarios.)

~~Natalie's P.O.V.~~

My name is Natalie Zimmerman. I'm twenty-five. I've lived on my own since turning eighteen. I always knew that I'd leave the family home as soon as I could. I will never complain about my family. Never. I just never felt comfortable around them. My family consists of my mom, my dad, and my older brother River. Growing up, I always felt different. Everyone in my family has (well had) blonde hair and blue eyes. I have naturally black hair and dark brown eyes.

My family has always been on the physically fit side. I'm on the fluffy side; I'm comfortable in my body, I'm not comfortable around my family. Especially my brother. I've always felt weird around him; I can't explain it. It doesn't matter. I'm out on my own, and I'm ok with that. I'm carrying groceries in when my phone rings.

It's my brother. That's odd.

~~Phone Conversation~~

Natalie- "Hello?"

River- "Hey, Nattie."

Natalie- "What's up? You never call me."

River- "I need a favor."

Natalie- "What's that?"

River- "I need a place to stay."

Natalie- "I thought you moved in with Malibu Barbie?"

River- "I did two years ago."

Natalie- "It's been two years?"

River- "Yeah, Nattie. It's been two years."

Natalie- "As I said, you never call."

River- "Neither do you."

Natalie- "Are you asking to stay here?"

River- "Do you mind?"

Yes. I mind. It's been two years for a reason.

Natalie- "No. I have two spare rooms."

Why did I say that?

River- "Can you uh text me your address?"

I'm a freaking idiot.

Natalie- "Sure."

River- "Ok. I'll see you in a bit."

Natalie- "Ok. Bye."

~~End phone conversation~~

I text River my address, put my groceries away, and change out of my work clothes. I've done really well for myself. I've never asked my parents for anything. I know they can afford it, but still. I wanted to do it myself. I worked my way through college and got my Bachelor's in finance. I got a job at a bank, and I love it. I saved every penny and put a down payment on my home.
