Chapter Twenty-One- Today is the day

~~Cherish's point of view~~

Today's the day. Once Aricka gets here, I can shower. I don't care about going out of the room. I just want to shower. Axel is still asleep; He sleeps in his underwear; I can't help but look at his body, I want to trace his tattoos with my fingers...

Axel: "Sweetness?"

Cherish: "Hmm?"

Axel: "I can feel you staring at me."

Cherish: "I'm sorry. I thought that you were sleeping."

He turns to face me.

Axel: "We're moving to my room. My bed is bigger."

Cherish: "Are we now?"

Axel: "Mmhmm."

Cherish: "I'm still the boss behind closed doors."

Axel: "You keep believing that."

Cherish: "Asshole."

Axel: "Haven't even made it to pee yet. It's a new record."

He takes a deep breath.

Axel: "Oh, Sweetness."

I knew he was talking about my smell. The dried blood alone was making me sick.

Cherish: "I know. I'm sorry."

A knock comes on the door. He jumps out of the bed and fixes his side. He slides shorts on then opens the door.

Aricka: "Happy to see me?"

Aricka says, smiling at him.

Axel: "Cherish is. I must warn you....."

Aricka: "I can smell it from here. I was told to put her close in your closet?"

Axel: "Yes."

She pushes past him.

Aricka: "How are you?"

Cherish: "Pain isn't as bad. I only take the pain medicine to sleep."

Axel: "She's been taking ibuprofen during the day."

Aricka: "That's great, Axel. Cherish, are you ready to get out of the bed?"

Cherish: "Oh, god, yes."

Aricka: "Have you been moving your legs?"

Axel: "She has."

He says something stupid I kick him. Just the way it goes.

Cherish: "Are you complaining?"

Axel: "Not at all."

Aricka: "Is there something that I need to know about?"

Aricka picked up on the annoyance in his voice.

Axel: "She beats me."

I burst out laughing.

Cherish: "Ouch."
