Chapter Eleven-Shocking News

~~River's point of view~~

River: "What's wrong?"

Nella: "My name is Nella. Follow me."

She takes me to an empty exam room.

Nella: "Natalie has lost a lot of blood. She needs a transfusion."

River: "Give it to her."

Nella: "We don't have her blood type in our blood bank. We've reached out to surrounding areas to see if they do."

River: "You don't have blood?"

Nurse: "She has an AB negative blood type. It's rare."

River: "How is that possible?"

Nella: "One of your parents has to be as well. I need you to ask them to test their blood and donate. They can come to this room, and I can do it."

River: "I'll go talk to them."

I turn to walk away.

Nella: "Mr. Zimmerman?"

River: "Yes?"

Nella: "You may want to ask your friends to test as well."

River: "Ok."

I make my way to the waiting room. Everyone is there but Charity. She can't donate anyway.

Patty: "What's going on, River?"

River: "Natalie has a rare blood type. She needs a blood transfusion. It's most likely a parent. They wanted me to ask if all you would get tested."

Devon: "Where do I go?"

Cherish: "Me too."

Luna: "I'll follow them."

Phil: "We will too."

My dad speaks, making me cringe. I dislike him, but right now, I need him.

Reeva: "I'll do it too, River."

I didn't even know Reeva was here.

River: "Ok. Follow me."

They all follow me to the room. The nurse is there with Charity and a new doctor.

Dr. Vena: "Hello. I'm Dr. Vena. I'm a genetic specialist. I'd like your permission to test all of the samples you guys give."

Cherish: "Take whatever you want from me."

Cherish, and Natalie are super close. I know she's hurting too.

River: "Me too."

I'll do anything for her.

Devon: "I think all of us will agree to anything you guys need to do to save Natalie."

Luna: "Exactly."

One by one, we all give blood.

Damien: "Can I try too?"
