Chapter Six-Dates

~~Natalie's point of view~~

It's been a week. A week since this started with River. It's not been sexual every night. We don't even sleep in the same bed. We are comfortable, and we like it. We have gotten into a routine. He works from home, so every morning while I get ready, he makes breakfast. As I come down the steps, I notice he's a little more dressed up than usual. He's wearing black jeans, a t-shirt, and a different black leather jacket. Then I remember that we have lunch dates and not with each other.

We both openly show affection for each other inside the house only. He's standing at the stove. I walk up behind him, wrap my arms around him, and run my hands up his chiseled chest.

River: "Good morning, Nattie."

He turns and kisses me. Not just the usual morning kiss. He slides his tongue in my mouth. I willingly oblige.

Natalie: "Mmm."

He breaks the kiss after several minutes.

Natalie: "What was that for?"

River: "To remind you that you're mine."

Natalie: "Nothing is going to happen with Devon."

River: "I trust you."

Natalie: "It's him you don't trust?"

River: "Exactly."

We sit down to eat. We both set lunch meetings up at different times yesterday.

Natalie: "How do you plan on keeping Luna away?" 

River: "I'm just going to tell her I'm not ready to go further. You have something you can use."

Natalie: "What's that?"

River: "Just tell him you're a virgin and waiting for marriage."

Natalie: "That's what I was going to tell him anyway."

River: "I still don't like it.

Natalie: "You think I'm comfortable with you being with Luna?"

River: "No. I know that you're not."

Natalie: "I have more to worry about."

River: "No, you don't, Nattie."

Him calling me Nattie has always sounded so sexy; he's the only one who calls me that, and I love it when he does.

River: "I have never been attracted to her. Ever."

Natalie: "Do you want to set rules or something?"

River: "The only thing I ask is that you don't do anything sexual or with him; unfortunately, we will both have to kiss them."

We both finish eating, and I take our dishes to the sink. I stand there and wash them. I feel him come up behind me. He wraps his arms around me. He leans to my ear.

River: "Please don't fall for him."

I turn towards him.

Natalie: "That's never going to happen. I only want you."
