Calla's POV

A large figure came up behind me. "Due to what happened today," it said. "I will need all information on your whereabouts and private life." I turned around to see the buff man who had carried dad back home.

"Please, feel free to come in. Thank you for your dedication to keeping our family safe," mom said. Something was fishy about this guy. Why did he need to know our whereabouts and private life? Why wasn't he with a team? Did the council send him? And if so, why didn't they tell us?

I stared at dad hopelessly, waiting for him to wake up.

"Mmmmf," He moaned. Mom quit her gushing and immediately knelt down to dad.

"Fitz?"

"S-Soph?"

"You're okay!" mom exclaimed. Dad got up slowly, and mom, well, she kissed dad. I looked away, not needing to see the grossness.

"You can look now," Someone whispered. I found Aunt Biana sitting next to me.

"You know, if your gut tells you to do something, you should do it. If you think you should eat five popsicles, go for it! And if you think someone is an imposter, fish 'em out," she told me, before winking and going to talk to dad.

"You sounded like Grandma!" I called to my Aunt.

"Hey there, Blossom," I heard a familiar voice.

"Uncle Keefe!" I threw my arms around him in a hug.

"I was wondering... do you ever wish you had a different dad?"

"No! Not at all! I love my dad!"

"Not even me?"

"NO! Uncle Keefe, I like it better when you're my uncle. Besides, mom would never, ever do something like marrying you!" I meant it as a joke, but... I think he took it the wrong way. "I-I'm sorry." I started.

"No, you're right. I had a stupid plan to get my stupid life to be less stupid. I was going to use you. But, I realize, that's terrible. I'd be even worse than my mom."

"It's okay," I told him as I gave him a crushing hug.
