Disclaimer: I thought of this method on my own but I do not know if someone else has made it before me so I will not call it mine and I will not give it a name. 

Method:

I originally thought of this method because I usually have super random and intrusive thoughts while doing any shifting method. It's usually something super random, like what I'm wearing tomorrow or what homework I have to get done. So, this method helps with that. 

Lay in any position comfortable to you. You don't have to visualize that you are in your dr bedroom, but pretend that you are. Pretend that you are laying in your dr bedroom trying to fall asleep but you can't, you keep having thoughts pop up in your head. But instead of thoughts you would have in your cr, think of things you would think in your dr. 

Such as last night I thought of:

"Oh, I have a Potions essay due in two days. I'll have to ask Hermione to read it over before I hand it in."

"I wonder when the next Hogsmeade trip is, I would love to go to Zonkos."

"I really hope I do well on my exams, although I bet Snape won't give me a good grade."

Things like that. And of course, if you are not shifting to Hogwarts then just think of things that you would in your specific dr. 

As you fall asleep keep pretending you are in your dr bedroom, common room, anywhere you would sleep in your dr. 

Good luck shifting! This method worked VERY WELL for me, I was so so so close last night. I felt like I was there for a second before something in my cr made a sound.
