Kenma's POV:

As per usual I tried to sleep and failed. Even with the warmth of Kuroo next to me, it was hopeless. Kuroo snored slightly in his sleep which exactly help either. Especially when he kicked me in the back of the head. That really didn't help.

Around 2 am I gave up, and got out of the bed. I sat on the edge, pulling my knees to my chest, and looked out his window for a while, being sure not to wake him.

He stirred and tossed, looking as though he was having a nightmare.
I got up and pulled the blanket back over him further and he seemed to calm a bit. Kuroo stretched and blinked,
Oh no, did I wake him? I wondered.

He sat up and rubbed his face.
"What time is it?" His voice was much lower than usual and croaky.

"Just after 2am, I think."

He grunted and got up. "I was having a nightmare about needing to pee."

"Thanks for that much needed information." I replied as he made his way to the bathroom. I stood up and stretched my back.

Kuroo returned asking, "What were you looking at?"

"Hm?"

"Before I went to the bathroom, what was out the window?"

He saw me looking out the window?
"Oh, nothing. I just think everything looks prettier when everyone's asleep."

"Even me?" He asked and I rolled my eyes. He stretched too, and came over to where I was stood. In doing so, Kuroo grabbed my waist, wrapping his arms around me, and resting his head on top of mine.

"kuro?" I asked quietly.

"Mhm?" He swayed us back and forth ever so slightly.

"Am I dreaming?"

"I don't think so, why?"

"Well, I just never thought I'd be here with you like this...
When I finally accepted it, I realized I'd liked you for years, and just suppressed it because I never thought there'd be a chance of you feeling the same."

"I know what you mean... these past few days have felt like a fever dream, but it's been the best couple of days of my life. Well, besides seeing you cry in the gym. That nearly killed me, I swear." He hugged me tighter.

I tried to conceal myself, as tears started to fall down my face, but the more I tried to keep it in, the more painful it became. I couldn't really even tell why I was crying. I felt unbelievably happy, and still I couldn't tell if the tears were of sadness or joy.

"Kitten?!" Kuroo pulled away and turned my body towards him.
"What's the matter? Did I say something?"

I shook my head, trying to keep quiet.

"Come here." He took the bottom of his shirt and wiped my eyes before pulling me into another hug. I held on tightly to the back of his shirt as he rubbed my shoulders. I didn't ever want to break away from his hold.

Kuroo had started to shift our weight from one foot to the other. A couple moments later he'd began to hum a familiar tune, but I couldn't put my finger on the name. His humming was just as beautiful as his singing.

He reached around his back to grab my hand, bringing it up into the air. I looked up at him, "What on earth are you doing?" I asked.
He shrugged, "Dancing in our socks?"

We moved around his room slowly, the moonlight pouring into his room through the window.  He continued to hum the tune, taking my other hand and dancing at arms length this time. He spun me and we started to laugh, interrupting his song, before realizing how loud we were.

Kuroo let go, but continued to hum as he bent down to reach around under his bed. I wondered what he was doing, but that question was answered as a CD player came out. I didn't even know he owned one. He went over to his bookshelf and took a large, black, zipper-binder off, opening it to reveal a large collection of CDs. He pulled one out and blew some dust off before clicking it into the machine. Kuroo turned down the volume, so it was just loud enough for us to hear before setting it on the desk.

I quickly realized it was the song he'd been humming.
"What's that song called?" I asked him.
"Yellow, by a band called Coldplay. I heard it when I visited America last summer. It reminded me of you, so before I left, I bought a CD of the album." He grinned, taking my hands once again and pulling me into a tight slow dance.

We danced for a long time.

Quite some time passed and eventually Kuroo got back into the bed.
I tried once again to fall asleep, but shocker, I didn't. I sat up and looked at him sleeping.

Again, he kicked me with his feet, so I wiggled my way out of the covers and walked to the other side of the bed.

I thought for a second but decided to go for it, and got back in, next to him this time. I snuggled up by his side and put my head on his chest. His breathing was slow and calm.

I love you, I thought.

"I love you too, kitten." A whisper responded.

Had I just said that out loud?

"What did you just say?" I whispered back.

"I said I love you."

I looked up at him in shock, "you do?"

"Of course I do..." He put a hand on my head and stroked my hair.
"...You're my yellow."
