"What was it like?" Sabrina asks.
"It was terrifying," I answered.
"Okay.. be more specific."
"I am!" I said. "I.. I don't want to talk about it anymore."
"Atleast tell Kayden so he's aware," she said.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because he's your boyfriend."
"Nah.. speaking of 'boyfriend'. Where's Aubin?" I ask.
"Oh.. um.. we're living together.." she told me.
"Really? How about college?" I ask.
"I'm done."
"Same here. 2 semesters. I'm done," I said.
She was playing with her hand.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
She put her hands behind her back. "Huh?"
I pulled her arms and saw a ring on her left hand.
"Oh my god! He proposed!" I squealed.
"Yeah! I was sooooo shocked when he did it."
"But you guys have been dating for only a few weeks."
"Yeah. We're in love and I think he's the one," she told me.
"How about Dallas?" I ask.
"Don't mention that jerk," she snarled, rolling her eyes. Not at me though.
"Oh. I can see why," I said.
"Exactly!" she said clapping. "Anyways.. when is Kayden gonna propose to youuuuuu?"
My eyes widened. "What?"
"When is he-"
"I heard you!" I said.
"Well.. when?" she ask.
"Um.. he isn't?"
"Oh come on! He's 21. You're 20. It has to be soon!"
"Yeah right. Soon meaning never," I said rolling my eyes.
Kayden's POV:
"It's so pretty!" Marina said.
"Yeah. It costed a shit ton of money too. But it was worth it!" I told her.
Susan's POV:
The doorbell rang. I went to go open it. It was Kayden.
"Hi," he said.
"Um.. hello?" I said.
"You don't seem happy to see me," he said coming inside.
I closed the door then crossed my arms.
"Um.. maybe because I am?"
"You're not happy to see me?" he asks putting his hands in his pocket.
"Okay. Enough with this. Why are you here?" I ask getting annoyed.
He knelt down and pulled out a ring. "Will you marry me, Susan Sunshine?"
My eyes widened. "What?"
"Oh.. not really the response I pictured.." he said getting up. "Sorry.. I understand if you're not ready."
"Oh.. um.." I said. This is awkward..
"Sorry. I should probably go.." he said heading to the door.
"No." I said. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that.. uh.."
"So the answer's yes?" he asks.
I gotta ask him about that girl the other day. It has been bothering me.
"Who.. uh.. who was that girl that you hugged the other day?" I ask him.
"Huh?" he said. "Oh.. that girl."
"Yeah.."
"That's Marina," he replied.
"Marina?" I ask. "Is she uh.."
"Is she what?"
"You know.. your ex?"
He answered, "No! That's my cousin!"
Oh. Ooops.
"You're cousin?" I ask.
"Yea! My cousin. You thought she was my ex?" he said laughing.
"Well.. you hugged her!"
"Yeah, because I haven't seen her in ages!" he told me.
"Sorry.." I said.
"So that's what has been bothering you.. you're jealous?" he said smirking.
I hit him. "She your cousin! Don't get nasty!"
"Okay. Ew. That's gross." he said.
"Hey, but she's gorgeous."
We were standing facing each other awkwardly.
He knelt down again. "Will you marry me?"
Since all of that misunderstanding has been solve and out of the way. "Yes."
He put the ring on my finger and we hugged and kissed. Until.. somebody came through the door.
