Overrated (Remade)

chapter 5

"hey- you guys made breakfast. Wow." Kiba laughed. He was the first one up, to Gaara and lee's surprise.

Kiba seemed like he was a big drinker and he'd say he was but in reality, he would never get too drunk. He had only just turned 21 this July and he had his dog, who was almost as precious as Kankuro was.

Gaara assumed Kankuro and Akamaru were on equal grounds.

"Yup! It would have been bad food if Gaara had not stepped in and helped me!" Lee laughed nervously. Maybe he was a bit unhappy with his inability to cook.

"Well, I'm glad you here Lee because normally Gaara never comes out of his room" Kiba snarled.  He had many dog-like characteristics. His eyes were pointy and thin , his hair messy and matted.

He was kind on the inside, he was just horrible at showing it.

"Well, I am assuming Kankuro will not be waking up until this Afternoon, right?" Lee chuckled.

"If your not right, I'd be surprised," Kiba said. 

"Well- I know nothing about hangovers- so I do not know how much I can help you but- here" lee slid a water bottle over to Kiba.

"Thanks" Kiba unscrewed the lid and downed almost half of it in one sitting.

"Slow down-" Lee motioned. Kiba thought did not slow down. The water bottle was empty and crushed in less than 2 minutes.

Lee sighed. "I don't know what I expected from you- honestly"

Kiba only shrugged.

"Anyways- I had some stuff I need to attend to today- so I cannot linger for much longer!"

Lee smiled again, opening his own water bottle.

"Gaara I would really appreciate it If you came with me!"

Gaara looked at Lee, surprised. When lee had meant he wanted to do it again. He didn't mean so soon. Gaara thought I'd be weird. Lee would think he was weird.

"Oh uh- i-" he'd feel really bad if he said no though. Lee would try and hide it but he'd let it slip on accident and Gaara would feel bad.

He doesn't feel bad for many people so the fact he was even considering how lee would feel if he said no amazed him.

"Sure, what time do we leave?"

Lee laughed and clapped his hands together. "in an hour or so! Whenever your ready is fine too!"

Gaara nodded his head. "when Temari wakes up- I'll tell her and get ready. If that's alright with you"

Lee nodded. "Fine by me!"

"Hey, Lee- what exactly are we doing?"

"Oh yeah I am sorry- I was thinking we could go to my house! It would definitely be a step up from here...not much but a bit!"

Gaara laughed a bit. "alright Lee."

Temari woke up quickly. She woke up in a cold sweat.

"I swear if you destroyed my house-" She stormed into the kitchen. Gaara sighed knowing what was about to go down. She'd point out the little things lee missed and make him feel bad.

She didn't though. "Oh thank God your still here lee-"

Lee nodded and smiled. "I figured since you guys left it a mess before bed. Me and Gaara would clean up! Though Gaara did most of the effort!"
Lee chuckled.  

Gaara looked at Lee, wondering why he'd let Gaara take all the credit for something he did. Why he'd say Gaara participated when he really only helped make breakfast.

"Wow- Gaara you haven't done something like that in a long time- I'm proud of you!"

Gaara looked down. It felt good getting told he made someone proud. Even if it was because of someone else's work.

"Yeah..uh Temari- Lee and I were going to go run an errand. Just wanted to tell you before I leave"

She groggily nodded while fixing herself a plate of food that had been set out.

Lee smiled while opening the screen door and hopping down onto the path that leads to the driveway.

"Come on Gaara! Oh- hey do you want to stay at a hotel tonight?"

"Huh?" Gaara, confused, looked up at lee.

"Well- I just got a message from of few of my friends saying they want me, Tenten, and whoever else I want to bring, stay the night at this hotel downtown"

Gaara shrugged. "sure. Will I need anything?"

Lee thought. "pajamas? A toothbrush? Hairbrush?"  He paused.

"I'm not sure about anything else. I  have spares In my car if you really need it though!"

Gaara smiled. "Then I guess I don't need anything. Who are these friends of yours?"

Lee nodded. "oh yeah- Naruto, sakura, sai, Ino, Hinata, Tenten, Neji, and Kiba are coming. A few others from my high school too!"

Gaara laughed. "that's a lot"

"Yeah, and I didn't even list them all..."

Gaara looked at lee as they both fastened their seatbelt.  "tell me the rest"

"Oh uh yeah-" lee turned the car on and began driving.

"Shino, Choji, Shikamaru..." Lee smiled. "you will like them!"

Gaara nodded. "I'll make it work even if I don't"

That made lee laugh.

(A lot of things are probs wrong but it's 5 am and I'm extremely tired so I'll spell check it in the morning. )
