I turned off my phone as soon as the plane took off.

The cold breeze of December welcome me as my right foot landed on the cemented ground. Naglakad ako ng ilang segundo hanggang sa maaninag ko ang hinahanap ko.

Amber's face lightened when she saw me.

"Hey there Avery!" Iwinagayway niya pa ang kaniyang  kamay. I smiled at them at naglakad ng mabilis.

"God, we miss you Ave!" Zia said as she hug me first. I miss them too. Zia is my elementary friend, Amber on the other hand is my friend when I went to college. Zia became close with Amber too since ito lang naman ang lagi kong kasama.

"I miss the both of you too." I said

Hinawakan ko ng mahigit ang aking maleta. Amber looked at me worriedly as if they remember something.

"Uh, do you want to go home now Avery? We know you're tired and exhausted. Meron ka pang jetlag." Aniya habang hinahawi ang mahabang buhok na lumilipad sa kaniyang mukha.

Agad akong umiling.

"Of course no, daddy and mommy can surely wait. Pati na lahat ng problema." I said and breathe in.

"Iyon naman pale e! Come on Ave, dalhin muna natin gamit mo sa condo ko and let's go the nearest elite bar. Madaming lalaki don!" Excited niyang saad, napangiwi nalang ako dahil doon.

Zia and Amber are both single, like me.

We went to Zia's condo. She's living independently by her own. Her mom and dad are both living abroad. Si Amber naman ay nakatira sa mga magulang niya, she's like a princess on their home.

Agad kong inilapag ang mga bagahe ko sa sala ni Zia. She went in to get some cold water na agad ko namang ininom. Amber and Zia is talking to me and telling em stuffs they failed to tell me when I was in abroad.

My life in abroad is very much fine. I love with a silver spoon in my mouth. Mommy and daddy gave me everything I want in exchange of doing everything that can make them proud.

Well, okay lang naman saakin gawin ang mga gusto nila dahil totoo namang para saakin ang mga iyon.

"Go Ave, magbihis ka na we will wait her." Amber said as she was pushing my shoulders. Napailing na lang ako at pumasok sa kwarto ni Zia.

Minutes pass, nakarating na kami sa The Annette, isang exclusive bar for elites. The smoke of cigarettes welcome my nose. Hindi naman ito bago saakin, when I am still at abroad every friday night ay nasa bar ako. Together with my foreigner and filipina friends.

Amber holds my hand as we went inside.

Agad na tumili si Zia ng makita ang bar counter. She ordered hard drinks for the three of us.

"Kalimutan mo muna nag problema mo Ave! Let's have fun!" She said while shouting. Kinuha ni Amber ang alak para sa kaniya at ininom ito. I get mine too and drank it straightly.

Habang nakatingin ako kay Zia at Amber namumuo ang inggit sa puso ko. I know how settled they are right now at the age of twenty five, pwede na silang magpakasal, bumuo ng pamilya. Unlike me, mom and dad wants me to arrange marriage with a certain man. Sabi nila a family friend of them offer marriage. In exchange they will help our company.

Our company is at risk. Sabi ni mom at dad ay gusto itong bilhin ng isang business man sa taong humahawak ngayon sa kompanya. Ah ewan ko ba! I don't usually interfere with their business, I am at business too pero hindi ako kinikwentuhan nila mommy about sa business namin kaya hindi ako masyadong familiar. All I know is malapit na itong ma bankrupt.
