Chapter Fifteen

He moved on. Iyon ang tumatak sa isipan ko ng ihatid ako ng driver sa hacienda. He didn't send me to the airport. Someone did it. Ni hindi man lang ako magawang ipahatid ng direkta. He choose to let me rode a fucking airplane.

Hindi ko alam pero hindi ko mapigilang umiyak. Sa loob ng dalawang linggo ko sa hacienda niya ilang beses niya akong nakuha. I never imagine na masasaktan pa ako ng ganito. He maybe wanted me to suffer. Is this his way on revenging on what happened years ago? If yes, we are now quits. Tinapakan niya na ang buong ako. I regret this feeling. I regret loving him.

I didn't have the chance na mag-paalam kay manang Felicia, kay Jasmine at Theresa. Alam kong paggising nila kinabukasan hahanapin nila ako. Even on Anne or Angelina, hindi nila alam na umalis na ako. The driver gave me the title when I reach the care. He drove me safely towards the airport. Siya narin ang nagbigay ng mga kailangan ko, my tickets and whatever I need. I say sorry for crying on his car. He just send me smiles instead. I said thank you on him and went inside the airport.

Let's forget about it Avery.

I sighed.

Maybe it's the right time to move on. Forget about him and start a new life. I have more then two months to live my single life in Manila. After that months I'm entering marriage. I'm going to marry Kendric Guillermo.

It didn't took much time. I arrived on Manila and took a taxi. Hindi ko ipinaalam kina mommy na nandito na ako. I wanted to surprise them. I want them to be shocked that I didn't need to be far for three months to get the title. I only spend two weeks there. Two weeks? Pero bakit parang ang tagal kong namalagi doon?

Medyo natagalan ako sa taxi. Medyo traffic. Pero nang makarating ako sa bahay ay agad kong sinenyasan ang guwardiya na tumahimik. He smiled at me and nodded.

"Nasa loob ba sila mommy at daddy manong? I am Avery Mercado. Their eldest." Pagpapakilala ko. He replied that he knows me dahil naging tauhan din namin siya noon. I just nodded and went in.

I opened the door and saw mommy and daddy on the living room while eyes are on TV.

"Mom! Dad!" I screamed, they all look at me and run towards me.

"Oh my God Avery!" Mom hesterically said and hug me so tight. I smile at daddy who's nearly teary eyed. I handed him the title.

"God. You are here with the title already?" Dad said na mukhang hindi pa nakukuha.

"Really?" Mommy said and let go of me. They look at the piece of paper.

"Avery h-how did you get it?" Mommy said amazed.

"He gave it to me mum. He wants me to send me right away back here. Hindi na po niya pinaabot ng tatlong buwan." I said and smile.

"Wait, did you cry?" Tanong ni daddy habang nakatingin saakin. I shook my head.

"No dad, wala lang po ito. Nag-iyakan kasi sina Jasmine e, iyong kasama ko po sa hacienda? They were so good to me. They help me know how to do house chores." I said, daddy seems to be believing it and so mommy.

"You must take a rest Avery. Sleep now. What's your plan anyway?"

"I will enjoy my remaining months here mum, dad. I hope it's okay." I said.

"More than okay Avery. I suggest you should try to meet Kendric too. Para naman magkakilala kayo. Malapit narin ang wedding niyo." Daddy said. I nodded and kissed their cheeks. Nagpaalam ako na matutulog na. Bukas nalang ulit. I am so fucking drained.

Days was too fast for me. Hindi ko namalayang isang buwan na pala simula ng umuwi ako galing hacienda. I don't know but I am still at pain knowing Xander just used me, that Xander see me as a girl perfect for his goddamn bed.

Sa loob ng isang buwan I kept my self busy. I engaged at different bar parties with Amber and Zia. They are both supportive and they are aware that I and Xander had encounter some problems. Hindi ko na sinabi na makailang beses may nangyari saamin. I just told them that we had an argument and I confess that I still love him.

They were laughing hard when they heard it. Gaga daw ako. Pero I don't care, at least, even in a small sacrifice I helped my self. Maybe this time I can move on. Because I considered what happened between of us, a closure.

Sa loob din ng isang buwan ay nagkikita kami ni Kendric. I already introduce him to my friends and believe me! They don't like Kendric, I mean, they like him as a friend to be along but they never like him as my future husband. Kendric is a nerdy type of person. He still wore the same round eye glasses.

"Hoy gaga, natutulala ka na naman!" Zia said at tinapik ang braso ko. I just smile at her.

"Huwag mo na ngang isipin si Xander. Kahit naman di kayo bagay niyang fiance mo, e--"

"Ouch huh!" Sagot naman ni Kendric na nasa tabi ko. Siniko ko lang ito. Well, opo, ganito ka pranka si Zia sa harap ni Kendric, pinag duduldulan niya talaga na hindi kami bagay.

"Truth hurts talaga Kends." Aniya at ininom ang kapeng inorder namin.

"Anyway, maiba tayo, if you don't mind Ave, hindi talaga ako makapaniwala na ex mo si Alexander. That Ilustre, he is so wealthy. Damn that man." Saad nito at tumingin saakin.

I just looked away. Maskin ako, hindi ako mapakaniwala na  mararating 'to ni Xander. Noon, ang gusto ko lang ang sabay gaming gumraduate at magkatrabaho. I accepted already that after marrying him I'm no longer having the life I had. Pero hindi ko inakala na hindi matutuloy ang mga usapan naming kasal ni Xander. We were so deeply in love with each other. How come destiny played on us?
